How?

I think he was over dieted for the show.  He had to in order to go from 270 to 198.  Next time around he will not have to diet so hard.  He also looked a bit flat.  And, he is going to experience a serious post show rebound...if he does it right.  Put all that together and he can come in a good 15 pounds heavier...fuller...dryer ...leaner.

For the record, not me in the picture.  Now, Jez, why are you on this board?   Seriously?

this day an age, you have to look at the glutes...although not as relavent at a state show...But the guys that come in at the state level and have striated glutes(love it or hate it) really do show better then the opposite...I couldn't really tell with Mike for his shorts were pretty covering...(probably on propurse)so the guys here wouldn't rip into him but the hams/glutes esp. in us older guys is a sure sign of who is in shape and who isn't...

Either way MIke looked phenominole(sp)

Thighs are much more important that glutes.

The competitors were told that if they hiked their trunks in any way to reveal the glutes they would be immediately disqualified.  Weird huh?

I'm talking in terms of conditioning...Glutes are the last thing on the body to come in...And at most state level shows, you rarely see guys with striated glutes...And if you do, he is almost always the most conditioned....

Michael Arvilla of Palm Beach Gardens competes in the light-heavyweight category of the 29th annual NPC West Palm Beach Bodybuilding Championships, held at Dwyer High School on Saturday, June 10.

He was a Heavyweight (he originally weighed in at 197, but Larry pulled him to the side and had him eat what looked like 10 sweet potatoes [lmao] and that brought him up to 198 1/2 ... a heavyweight).  The photographer got it wrong, but I can understand why.  During the show the expeditor thought Heavyweight was up and moved Michael along with the Lights.  He went out on stage and they, the judges called his number and told him he was not supposed to be on stage as of yet.  It is kinda comical on the video.  lol.
