Gates called her plan extreme and said she's missing the picture.

He does put his money where his mouth is - just not the government.  He's practically a living saint with his philanthropy.

People as rich as Gates have private wealth managers who secret their money away in offshore tax havens using multiple dummy corps. and shell companies.

They hardly pay any taxes.

The robot voice in the beginning only lasts for a little bit.  This is an interesting vid where a professor explains how AOC's policies/thinking/speaking came to be.....I think he's dead on, and it means she's just the first in what's to come from generation me.  Tucker makes some funnies.  Farting cows have actually been condemned elsewhere..I did not know :o

MSNBC's Deutsch: 'Dangerous' Ocasio-Cortez Will 'Hand Presidency Back to Trump'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein
Posted on 2/15/2019, 12:40:55 PM by governsleastgovernsbest

Democrats are starting to figure out that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the gift that keeps on giving . . . to Republicans.

A few days ago, Nancy Pelosi disdainfully dismissed Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal as "the green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it, right?”

On today's Morning Joe, there was consensus condemnation of Ocasio-Cortez's opposition to NYC's deal with Amazon to establish an HQ in NYC, which contributed to Amazon's decision to cancel its plans. Donny Deutsch put it in starkest terms, saying Ocasio-Cortez is "extremely dangerous," and "does not know what she's talking about." Deutsch fretted that, from a Dem perspective, Ocasio-Cortez and her socialist sidekicks will "hand the presidency back to Donald Trump."

New story is she hired her boyfriend for her staff, which is an ethics violation...but now is denying that even though he has an email addy and access to AOC staff calendar.

Amazon Spokesperson Blames Ocasio-Cortez for NYC Retreat

The progressive congresswoman fielded intense backlash after the shocking cancellation of the company's planned second headquarters

An Amazon spokesperson blamed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and her vocal resistance for the company’s shocking decision to cancel plans for its New York City headquarters on Thursday.

Polls showed that 70 percent of New Yorkers supported Amazon’s planned investment in the state.

Thus, Amazon stunned many New Yorkers and the nation at large when the company bowed to intense opposition from some state and local officials on Thursday and announced it was abandoning the Big Apple for its second headquarters.

“For Amazon, the commitment to build a new headquarters requires positive, collaborative relationships with state and local elected officials who will be supportive over the long-term,” Amazon said in a statement.

But “a number of state and local politicians have made it clear that they oppose our presence and will not work with us to build the type of relationships that are required to go forward with the project we and many others envisioned in Long Island City,” the company admitted.

Jodi Seth, Amazon’s head of policy communications, told NBC News that same day the company blamed a few specific New York politicians for its decision.

“It wasn’t any one incident,” Seth noted. “It was that the environment over the course of the past three months had not got[ten] any better. There were some local and state elected officials who refused to meet with Amazon and criticized us day in and day out about the plan.”

“If you talk to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, it’s ‘Never Amazon,'” Seth added. “If you talk to [New York City Councilman Jimmy] Van Bramer [a Democrat], it’s unions.”

In summary, Amazon had a meeting and made a decision that it wasn’t worth it to have to deal with these lowlife, POS politicians. I don’t blame them.

Schumer slams ‘stunt’ Green New Deal vote as moderates fret

Schumer slams ‘stunt’ Green New Deal vote as moderates fret
By ANTHONY ADRAGNA 02/14/2019 03:01 PM EST
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Democrats would not be intimidated by the “cynical stunt” of voting on the Green New Deal resolution, even as moderate members of his caucus distanced themselves from the sweeping climate change goals.

Schumer said the "amazing irony" of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell bringing up a resolution Republicans intend to vote against is a sign of why the American people hate Congress. He demanded the Kentucky Republican acknowledge the scientific consensus around climate change and commit the chamber to tackling the problem.

"I challenge Leader McConnell to say that our climate change crisis is real, that it’s caused by humans, and that Congress needs to act," Schumer said on the Senate floor. "This is what two-thirds of the American people agree with."

Schumer's clap back comes on the heels of McConnell saying his chamber would vote on the ambitious Green New Deal resolution floated by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.). That move is expected to show internal divisions within the Democratic caucus about how to tackle climate change with some lawmakers recoiling at the resolution's aim of decarbonizing the U.S. economy within a decade.

"Bring it on," Schumer said as to McConnell's plan to call up the resolution. "We'll be fine."

But some moderate Democrats appear wary of the coming vote.

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), chair of the Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, said at an Axios event this morning that she was not ready to back the resolution in its current form.

“Some of the wording is of concern to me because it leaves things wide open and allows folks that are opposing it to … mischaracterize it,” Stabenow said. “I understand the passion. I understand the sense of urgency, but I think a little more time, a little more communication, a little more input from a wider variety of folks on language would have made a difference.”

Ocasio-Cortez Slams The 'Racial Injustice' Of The Cannabis Business As White Men Profit
Huffpost iva Yahoo ^ | February 16th, 2019 | Mary Papenfuss
Posted on 2/16/2019, 1:51:18 PM by Mariner

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) earned praise from “drug justice” advocates after criticizing a growing marijuana legalization and business model that is paving the way for white male investors to reap major profits after minorities spent decades in prisons for selling pot.

She made her comments during a House Financial Services subcommittee hearing this week on banking services for the burgeoning cannabis industry as more states legalize the sale and use of marijuana.

She suggested the growing industry was “compounding the racial wealth gap” by allowing wealthy white-dominated companies to gain a quick advantage in the industry. She complained that communities most affected by drug incarcerations are the “last in the door” when it comes to profiting now from legalized cannabis.

The nonprofit Drug Policy Alliance praised her position. “We must legalize marijuana in a way that recognizes and repairs the disastrous, disproportionate harms of the drug war ... on people of color,” the organization tweeted after the hearing.

Ocasio-Cortez cited statistics from Colorado and Washington, where marijuana is legal for recreational use, that 73 percent of cannabis business executives are male and 81 percent are white.

The woman is a veritable Jukebox of leftist talking points. She is essentially the Conker of Congress.

So, when they were illegal it was no good because blacks and Hispanics were more likely to be charged with drug crimes. Now, that they’re  legal, they’re still no good because white men have more money and therefore can profit more easily than Blacks and Hispanics.

Why don’t Asians have this smorgasbord of excuses? Could it be that it might have something to do with the culture and is not strictly a racial thing?

When I hear a socialist speak I am reminded of the saying, “All roads eventually lead to the graveyard.” With socialists it’s “All roads lead to extracting resources from the private sector.”

You can tell when someone is constantly floundering when the defense for them turns into "she's in you're head", "you're afraid/obsessed with her", etc, rather than defending the points on their own merit.

The Democrats are having a shit run the past few weeks, and having someone like AOC getting all the attention is going to cause them to get her in line.   She'll fizzle out eventually.

Asians do not have a victim mentality and are too busy working.  Liberals hate it when you bring up Asian immigrants who can't speak the language, have success in business and have very successful kids.  It totally destroys their model of non white victimhood.

LOL - DeBlasio schooling AOC on her insanity

Haha!

Quote
During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” de Blasio agreed when host Chuck Todd said that the tax breaks offered to Amazon weren’t “money you had over here. And it was going over there.”

“Correct,” de Blasio said.

He added: “And that $3 billion that would go back in tax incentives was only after we were getting the jobs and getting the revenue.”

To further drive home the point, Todd said, “There’s not $3 billion in money —”

“There’s no money — right,” de Blasio said.

Agree, I’d like to see more of this happening:

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department lent its support on Thursday to students who are suing Harvard University over affirmative action policies that they claim discriminate against Asian-American applicants, in a case that could have far-reaching consequences in college admissions.

Where is this "scientific consensus" he speaks of to be found, and who paid for the study results?  And which poll suggest that 2/3rds of Americans buy into climate change...especially to the point of him saying we feel it needs to be acted on (spend our money for)?  I literally do not know one person IRL that even tries to rationally debate it.  Only a handful that say it exists "because I see it happening every year all over the world".....OH, RRReeeaaaalllly?
