The one thing you can't accuse Mitt of is being stupid.

I don't care about his taxes but I do care if he cheated and got caught

Other than that what possible reason could he have for not releasing them

He released his 2010 return (though not completely) and was revealed to have paid a rate of 13.9% on 20+ million and I don't see anyone who is really making a big deal out of that.     We know from people like Warren Buffet that the tax code is written to favor passive income over actual wages earned in exchange for work

Why not just release them

There seems to be no reason and like many Repubs have said he should have done it months ago and no one would be talking about it right now.

yea, the way he danced around it in the debates made me think he's hiding something bad.  So yea, I wanna see wtf.  Republicans have hounded others about it saying the American people want to know, so let's have it.

Listen to this shit, it's like listening to a boy try to explain why all the cookies are gone in the cookie jar lol

his very precise statement where he says he paid everything he owed "and not a penny more" suggests to me that he didn't pay everything he owed, got caught and then paid it.  His statement would still be correct under that scenario but it would be political poison if it was found out he tried to avoid paying his taxes

I can't think of any other reason not to release the returns

We already know he, along with other rich people pay a lower % rate than most working class people and no one seems to care about that

get this straight, it's considered massive hypocrisy for the RNC to demand a dems tax returns because, "the American voters want to know" and then turn around and cry foul when the public wants to see mitt's tax returns.

If the only thing Mitt is hiding is his ability to legally keep most of his money he doesn't have a lot to worry about.  Hell you're all already defending that angle so if that's all he's hiding, why not just release them.

i'm telling ya, the CTer in me says obama will find a way to leak them, right before the election.

He'll find someone willing to take the jail time for it.  Or he'll just use his huge prez power and leak it.  Romney is willing ot take all this heat - so you KNOW it's something he considers potentiall damaging.  Romney does it all by the numbers, he did the math here.

Better to release it early and take the hit early.

Unless yall truly believe "Obama wouodn't do it"?  lmao

He should release them and tell Obama to release all his records.

so we'll include you in the list of Repubs (or whatever you are) who thinks Romney should release all of his tax returns

I'll notify the media

The same could be said of any stance obama has taken as well, why do you seem only upset about romney?

I say we focus on the issues instead of getting side tracked like obama would like us to.

If he had done something wrong I think the chance of the IRS finding it would be pretty great as the only thing he would give us would be the same thing he gave them...

what obama is hiding in regards to fast and furious is much more concerning to me then romneys tax returns...

and what if they already found it and he paid fines, penalities, back taxes

that's what I suspect happened and is THE reason he won't release them

he's making the bet (I think correct) that it would be worse to have that known than not known

If thats the case then what does it matter?

he tried to keep as much of his hard earned money in his own pocke, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT???

when the IRS said he owed more then he paid, HE PAID IT...

when did it become a bad thing to try and keep as much of your hard earned money as possible?
