"The All time world record is held by Andy Bolton (UK) with a conventional pull of 971 lbs (2006), surpassing the previous record held by Benedikt Magnusson by a mere 1 lb."
If your gonna break someone's world record break it by more that one pound... here's the original world record lift

So if I would manage to break the current record by 1 lb and pull 972 lbs...........
I would still be a "pussy?" ::)
Didn't Sergey Bubka break his pole vault record a few times just by 1 centimeter at every attempt?

For the ignorant, there is a MUCH bigger difference in the 2 lifts than that. Benedikt's (sp?) lift was done after a tolken squat and bench (a few hundred lbs each) while Andy's lift was done within the confines of one of the highest totals ever! There is a HUGE difference between pulling 971 lbs after a 1100+ lbs squat and a 300 lbs squat (or whatever the exact numbers were).

We had this debate months ago. I hate recycled threads you fucking pussy!

Certainly a valid point, but a huge pull none the less. I'm guessing he could total 2200-2300 pretty easy.
thanks for the link.

yes sergy bebka did do that./ that is what yelena isimbyeva sp? is doin also in the female comp. each time she gets a wr in a iaaf grand prix she gets 100,000 dollars. pretty nice lol. she has broken it i think over 11 times already. she is capable of more than she has done in comp by a good 10 cm in my opinion. good way to cash in for sure.
not a pussy at all. some lifts cant be smashed by 15lbs everytime
