Wear posing trunks to pool!?

My gym buddy wear bodybuilding posing trunks to pool because he doesn't buy swimming wear.  He said "They are same.  Why spend extra money on same thing?"  I disagree but it seem posing trunks can be wet in water and doesn't be transparent.

I live by the beach in New Jersey. It seems only foreigners wear them to the beach.  I take that back. The gay beach in Asbury Park is full of guys wearing banana hammocks.

we have sunbath at pool and make sure whole body is tanned, so can't wear shorts.  i wear thongs but it is swimming thongs, not posing trunks.
