American Ultra

Went to see American Ultra last night.

I caught the 10:20 showing at the local cinema. (Euro speak approved)

I was really unsure if I would like this movie, but I decided to give it a shot anyway.

It won't do well this weekend at the Box Office... My theater was mostly empty, and my guess is that the entire box office in the US will be down this week as the theater I went to wasn't very busy at all.

Jessie Eisenburg did a good job playing the cooky protagonist. Topher Grace (What kind of name is Topher) was the snarky and arrogant antagonist that you just wanted to throat punch. Connie Britton played the older almost washed up former CIA supervisor who assists our protagonist.

All of them were extremely likable.

Kristen Stewart didn't ruin it for me, which is all I could ask for. I really don't like her, but at least in this, she was mostly just out of the way.

Walton Goggins was great in his role... absolutely great.

Bill Pullman, John Leguizamo, and Tony Hale all did above average work in this.

I'd give it a "go see" for good blowing of shit up and blood. Decent enough entertainment value.
