I thought all contracts were required to be sent in weeks before the competition? Is this not the case? Just noticed that it seems as though lately for these competitons, people jumping in aweful late in the game....
Although it would be nice to get a commitment at least a couple of weeks in advance of an event, as a fan, I'm ok if 3-4 more athletes show up on Friday saying they'd like to compete. I'm getting more for my money, so I'm not going to complain.
I have to imagine that it could drive a promoter nuts, though, especially since he wants to have scoresheets and other materials ready for his judges and the media, etc.
