Gene, is it a week from today in the morning?  I want to be praying while you are in there as well as before and after.


Gene, before they "put you out" for surgery, they will give you something through your IV to "relax" you.  It is nice

Then later they give you the other stuff to put you out and it's great for about 2 seconds.  Then you wake up and it's all done

week from today @320 pm...i cane eat or drink all day

and i have to wear this dumb cast till then to keep the bicep safe

im worried about the needles and waking up in the middle of it

just turn your head away and exhale a little. Those needles are pretty small and don't hurt much at all. Sometimes the person is so good at taking the blood it's just barely uncomfortable.

You may find it doesn't bother u and u want to look.  But I wouldn't look at first...jmo

I also had surgery for a torn Labrum.

Surgery will go good bro!

Gene, I puked from the anesthesia when I had surgery. You might puke as well. Make sure a bucket is near you when you wake up.

Gene, many people have no probs with nausea but some do. 

You may want to go to the store the day before surgery and stock up on some things u eat when u feel sick.

Cookies, ice cream and peanut butter and jam sandwich fixings for me. Maybe get some clear pop as well. Just suggestions

i wanted to get stuff like that but i gotta wait till pay day for the xtra cash...thats on thursday

i had to go get blood taken today

i hate needles

i had a nice convo with the check in lady
then we went into the blood taking room
i told her i hate needles and she looked at me and remarked about all the color draining from my face

they put me in the room w/ this large african american nurse-she looked like she could have been in a womens prison-very scary looking-never smiled

she took my blood and i almost passed out from the stress of it-everything got dizzy and i felt light headed...but i didnt pass out
she kept asking me if i was ok...

my arm looks better but it does not feel better-its very sore...i was at the store and dropped a bunch of advocadoes in the display and i tried to catch 1 and my arm hurt very badly...like a knife was cutting it

i had the mri tonight
it was horrible
i had to lie on my stomach w/ my head turned sideways on this hard plastic thing...my arms had to be stretched out in front of me...it was a 20 min mri and my arms and shoulders were falling asleep and in pain from staying so still...i didnt know it was over and i was just lying in there and i began yelling loudly to the lady in the control room but she did not hear me
