They're giving the Colts the game, doing nothing to help their defense. QB just isn't good enough for the rest of the team.

Holy Schit does Rex Grossman SUCK. It's a miracle Chicago made it to the Superbowl with that abortion of a QB running the offense. That was pitiful.

They could have pulled some schmuck from the stands and he would have done better than Grossman did. It was painful to watch. Excellent defense and a horrific offense is not a recipe for Superbowl victory.

The AFC is clearly superior to the NFC. Nice job Colts, enjoy your year on top because next year everyone will be gunning for you even more than they do already.

The Colts D should get lots of credit for their playoff improvement

Care to guess how long their D was on the field for? Clearly this Bears team doesn't have the defense of the 85 Bears but they are still very good if not excellent. The clear problem is the horrific offense that was 3 and out for nearly the whole game. Grossman is not an NFL caliber QB.

Absolutely, they stepped up and got it done.

That wasn't the problem, the offense specifically the QB was inept thus the defence was always on the field.

ok we could go 'round and 'round with this

bears lost cause they sucked.

colts won cause they (offence and defence) played great.

PERIOD

The Colts were quite beatable in a close game, Chicago played well but the Bears' QB did nothing to take advantage of opportunities. That long interception with about 10 minutes to go absolutely squandered that drive. No need to throw it that way in the rain when they were moving the ball.

The Colts did play great but I don't think the Bears sucked. IMO they lost because of their pitiful offense.

Considering how long the Colts had the ball the score could have been much much worse than it was for most of the game. The difference was one score for most of the game.

Exactly; that it was close was because of the rest of Chicago's team being good.

Great win for the Colts.  Very happy for Dungy.

Sloppy game.

Once again, a great offense beats a great defense.  "Defense wins championships"?  Phooey!  :)

Ironically, the colts never would have won the superbowl, or even made it past the first round of the playoffs if they did not do a complete 360 on defense. The colts defense was the reason the offense had a chance to do what it did. Sooooo, in essence defense wins championships. Manning on the field tiring out opponents defense = colts d playing top notch football. Last 4 games the colts lost in the regular season shows what a lackluster defense does to a team with a great offense. When the colts d stepped up they came together.

Colts deserved to win this ball game.

True.  Manning was horrible till about the second half of the Pats game during the playoffs and Indy's run D came back from the dead in the playoffs.  A remarkable turnaround.

On the other hand, Indy's O pounded the Bears today.  Complete domination.  Racked up 438 yards.  Ran 81 plays (Bears ran 47).  They controlled the line of scrimmage.  Ran for 191 yards.  A real drubbing.
