This should be cool - first PBW show with the new crew is next Monday evening. Will miss Bob, as he defiantely added some interesting elements to the radio show, and when he and Dan started, this was an original concept, and helped built it to the powerhouse it is today.
And of course, will support Bob on whatever 'new' adventures is coming up from him.
As for Chad Nichols and Lee Thompson - Lee is definately in tune with the industry and has his own style of making the show interesting. Since Lee, obviously, cannot talk about anything regarding who will place at contests, Chad will be working on that. Will be interesting also to hear Lee's commentary after the contest has taken place as too why someone placed the way they did.

Just kidding - you both deserve tremendous credit and Bob, I wish you well as you move on to the next chapter of your post-competitive career. Although I don't have any experience in live radio myself, I do know how tough it is to remain fresh and interesting year-after-year and oftentimes, a major change like this is good just to keep yourself from burning out.
I don't get to listen often, but I look forward to what Dan and his new crew will bring in 2011 and look forward to more dynamic discussions here on the boards about the topics you guys will be covering throughout the year.

Mark my words, that show will turn into complete garbage in less than a year. Even by combining the potential talent that is brought forth by Dan, Lee and Chad, you will not even have a toejam's worth of Bob's talent on that show.
Bob made that show what it was. He is the only IFBB pro that is capable of MC'ing events, hosting talkshows, promoting movies, videos and all things media.

First, Bob will be missed. He was great on the show, but I know Bob has other big plans for the future!
Second, I think Lee Thompson is a great choice. Anyone who has heard Lee on OFF TOPIC Radio and PBW before knows Lee is great on the radio. Some people just have natural talent, and Lee is one of those people. Lee will add a whole new aspect by actually being able to tell the listeners what the judges were thinking and what they were looking for at shows. He can actually give us the judges perspective, firsthand.
I, for one, can't wait to hear what new things the 7th season of PBW will bring!

No way he abandoned his family, he is a loving father to his kids, and is quite devoted to them. As for marriage, unfortuantely, 50% of all marriages in the US end up in divorce. Lee just ended up on one side over the other. As for Valerie, they were an item after they were separated, but that is private, so let's leave it at that. Things didnt' work out with Valerie, and Lee enjoyed dating (why not), but eventually, he found Stacey, and they have been together for a while, and got married.
Lee excels in business, and as for PBW, he will do quite well this season, along with Chad. First show - next Monday night.

Its hard to believe they pulled the plugs on Bob.
I hope he is able to use his talents to plugs himself in elsewhere on the radio.
Its a shame that sponsorship plugs has forced this change.
Perhaps there is a way for him to plugs BSN and return in the future.
Hopefully another radio show can plugs him in to their lineup.
Then he could do plugs for other sponsors as well.
Because Bobs plugs are top notch.

I used to listen occasionally a couple years ago when heavy muscle radio and off topic were actually interesting but haven't bothered since they both turned to suck.

Considering that there are now about 4-5 radio shows that are on, I would say at least 100 people :)
But PBW, being the first, and on a myriad of places, have a much, much higher audience because they have been like, as Stacy Thompson put it on Access Radio, the 'Beatles' of the bodybuilding radio shows.

My point was that Ron is spinning this as a positive change, but most listeners would prefer to have Bob on the show. Bob's the Simon Cowell of PBW and replacing him with Lee & Chad will be a snooze fest.

"The good news is we have Chad Nicholls...who designed the Uber dose steroid cycles for guys like Flex Wheeler, Ronnie Coleman, Gunther Schlierkamp, Victor Martinez and many more. He could tell you the exact doses, stacks and last minute chemical preps used by the top Olympia champs..what diueretics they use..doses of insulin, IGF1, GH, thyroid meds, plasma expanders... The bad news is...... he won't be mentioning any of that stuff. Instead he'll be promoting some useless supplements . Enjoy!

Of course, why be a sourpuss on it, and be all negative on a change. Things happen, there were conflicts and differences, and now, we have two more industry people who have good knowledge. We will see how interesting it is after a few episodes.

Had lunch with Lonnie today at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant here near the Van Nuys airport, and the problem is simple. Lonnie Teper is a college teacher for the past 20+ years, who during school season, works on Monday night, making it hard to be available on a 'live' committed radio show. He has been offered a radio show before, and even now, since he knows so much about the industry, is on various radio shows commentating (just was on All Access on Monday). Yes, some of us do have to be at work on Mondays.

I liked Bob on the show so I doubt I will actually listen to the new version. I must say that the choice in new hosts seems dubious at best. I hope it's not just an ego project.

Can you elaborate on the conflicts and differences? Is it related to Bob having a BSN deal? If so, it's embarrassing for Dan and PBW to cave into pressure from sponsors. Lee Thompson isn't a good choice for host because he's an IFBB official. He's not free to tell it like it is without compromising his position as a judge.

Does anyone remember the curse of PBW?
It was documented about during the shows first couple of seasons. It was a long line of people connected or appearing on the show who were suddenly struck down by "bad luck".
Bob & Dan even talked about it on the show. Craig Titus, Kelly Ryan, King Kamali, Dennis James, Ronnie Coleman, and Chris Cormier all suffered from extreme bad luck after appearing on the show. I bet the list has even grown longer since 2006.

PBW without Bob Chick?...well that's fuckin' lame. While it did take a while for Bobbo to learn the skills, he's an integral part of that show and I don't see how Lee whatshisname or Chad "who gives a shit what he thinks" Nicholls aren't going to cut it for a long time. Wonder why there was any conflict in the first place...definitely not sponsors, I mean, that's just dumb.

He said it was a good time. Lot of people there. Said Willmore was looking huge. I live literally less then 5 mins from there in Boca Raton, wish I had stopped by. I never even realized BSN was founded in Boca until a girl I know starting dating Chris Ferguson.
