He’s certainly a great troll. I do enjoy him sometimes, although I rarely watch his or any news shows, and mostly what I see are clips here and social media. He’d probably be a good trial lawyer.

Every single news anchor has said a lie at some point in their career.
I don't like Tucker much, but he puts on a good show.
I like some of his stuff, dislike others.
But he was spot on in that video, so if the person debating it watched it, they'd likely concede he was right.

If you feel that way, why engage at all? Why throw out there that he is "pandering", when you have no intention of further debate. - what's the point?
Carlson is a TV personality, and will use hyperbole to appease the fan base, and occasionally be completely wrong.
But that doesn't make everything he says invalid. He's been superb on some monologues, including this one. Refusing to listen to it is close minded. But dismissing it as pandering to SC without watching is trolling.

Thursday, just moments after President Joe Biden had completed a primetime speech in Philadelphia, Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson lashed out at Biden.
He warned the President crossed into a “very dangerous place.”
“We made fun of it at the top of the show because we really didn’t know how else to respond,” Carlson said. “But Joe Biden crossed into a very dangerous, very dangerous place. Tonight he declared in a speech in Philadelphia that anyone who disagrees with him is a threat to the country.”
Carlson noted the backdrop of Biden’s address and described the event as “truly nuts.”
“Yeah, they’re a threat, says the guy with the blood-red Nazi background and Marines standing behind him,” the FNC host said. “It’s a complete outrage this is being sanctioned as a White House event. In other words, this is the approved position of our government. It is totally immoral. And then the guy who encouraged riots in 2020 accused ‘MAGA Republicans’ of somehow threatening the rule of law in the United States.”
“This truly nuts and threatening to the future of the United States,” Carlson added. “It’s hard to believe he just did that, but he did.”

When I started watching Tucker Carlson, one of the things that made him enjoyable was that he always kept a little bit of an ironic distance from what he was covering. In recent months, though, that has changed. Tucker’s angry and righteously so. Monday night’s monologue may have been his most fiery yet because he focused on something we’ve all seen from the moment Biden swore an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”: As all totalitarian regimes do, Biden is using the instruments of government to persecute his political opponents.
We saw it when Biden and his armed bureaucrats characterized a large protest and an accompanying small riot at the United States Capitol (especially compared to past Democrat and BLM riots) as an “insurrection.”
We saw it when they imprisoned those people who had entered the Capitol (many under the impression that they were allowed to be there) and proceeded to hold them without bail, charges, or trial. When Democrats engaged in violent protests across America from January 2016 forward, Biden and his cohorts characterized those protests as “mostly peaceful” and righteous First Amendment actions aimed at challenging a fake president.
