Interesting. Do you think this is mandated by management or is it a group think? One of the clerks at the liquor store always wears a mask. Although I am curious, I have not asked him why because that would be rude... plus it is none of my business.

You see the occasional person or sometimes a couple wearing masks. What is interesting to me is that these can be folks of any age, from young kids to old-timers like me. I understand why someone old and infirmed might wear a mask for fear of getting acutely ill from COVID or some other contagious disease. Maybe these folks are germaphobes. Living in fear is not living, regardless whether they are afraid of catching a virus or fear of getting vaccinated.

Hospitals and medical offices are some of the last holdouts in Hawaii. 

But I still see people wearing them at the gym, outside, etc.

My local hospital/dr group here in NC finally dropped the requirement recently.  Still some wearing masks even in their own vehicles...mostly darkies and obvious alphabet crowd "people."
