Krav Maga is extremely effective, but timing aquired through hundreds of hours of boxing is unrivalled in my opinion.

But intimidation/confidence can scare a threat away or question themselves, to the point no fists are thrown.
this is not just yours opinion but the opinion of every martial arts master

without this skill all "deadly technique" is useles

Rex Kwondo is by far the most superior base for any upcoming MMA fighter. One roundhouse kick to the face while wearing some American flag baggies would drop the best UFC has to offer!!!

One of the biggest assets is having great cardio and a solid chin.

It doesn't matter how big and strong you are if you gas in 30 seconds.

The best base is wrestling(either greco-roman or freestyle) ... from there some kind of striking art depending on the fighters natural abilities and structure. Then a submission art like BJJ.

What we have seen is that high level wrestlers in mma that are low ranking in BJJ can easily handle higher caliber BJJ specialists. Anyone who has trained BJJ and rolled with a wrestler knows how fast the wrestler can advance.

But with Catch wrestling you would learn wrestling and submissions. The great thing about catch is it by style aggressive in its attempts to break your shit... and this is very effective in real life combat.

I'd have to say that the best base is Ernst Stavro Blofelds base.

Boxing and Krav Maga

If you don't master the art of throwing a punch what's the point of the rest of the game?

And unless your gonna do actual MMA type events bjj and wrestling are kinda useless since they are based on single attacker situations

Bench

boxing will get you a broken hand and you lose 1/2 your 'weapons' in a typical street fight.

at least with muay thai you'll still have knees and elbows.... throwing a kick in a streetfight is a very bad idea 95% of the time unless you're very proficient.

low kick/leg kick allows your attacker/opponent to close the gap quickly, as it's not gonna stop him .

throw a high kick and run the risk of losing your balance and falling, or pulling a hamstring... much less it allows your attacker to close the gap again.

in a street fight where you're striking you'll want to maintain distance and when inside use the most dangerous weapons you have.. which are elbows in my opinion/experience. short elbows will rattle a guy's head much more effectively than a dirty-boxing punch, plus if you catch a bit of skull, you'll break your hand.

but in an actuall 'street fight' it's "do your worst, fast and first"... eyes, throat, and groin. you're not point fighting and there's no judges or ref's.. and as a grown man, you have no business "fighting" in the street where you'd risk losing 'honor/respect' for gouging eyes.

if you're gonna fight somebody over disrespect? it's not a fight. it's an assault... use a weapon if you wanna teach a guy a lesson.
