mark kerr with his athletic gift should have been able to accomplish a lot more then he did. He had a lack of heart/drive most likely related to his substance abuse. He really was similar to brock lesnar/shane carwin and some of these other fighters.

you get the impression from the doc. that his woman was the source of a lot of the shit in his lif then. unlike coleman with his settled/stable home life, young family and hottie wife

igor vovchanchyn made the most with what he had. He was like a 230 lb permu bulker with primative submission skills and still won a lot of fights he had heart.

won 30 mma fights in a row, 116-12 combined mma and kickboxing record. if he was 6'3+ I doubt he would have ever lost a fight.

  Mark Kerr was truly a smashing machine. There was a brief period of time around 1998 when there wasn't a single man on Earth who could beat him in a fight without weapons.

  He could bench raw 500 lbs for a triple, and he could literally kill a man with a single punch. Most men who can bench raw 500 lbs cannot kill people with punches because punching with your maximum possible power takes years of practice to learn how to put your strength and weight into the punch. But when the guy can bench raw 500 lbs and knows how to punch, he can literally give a massive concussion to a person and kill him with one punch. You could see that guys were terrified to get inside the cage or ring with him. Mortified...

  Kerr was 265 lbs of ripped muscle, and unlike Mariusz Pudzianowski, he actually knew how to use his strength and power in a fight. Imagine a Mariusz Pudzianowski who could put all his strength and weight into his punches and kicks, and could perform takedowns perfectly...what you have is the most dangerous man on Earth, period. Of course, Kerr was taking enormous amounts of drugs, almost on the level of a pro bodybuilder. Not as much, but close.

he fought not very long ago..can't find the fight now..fought king mo.. he was 40. looks ALOT different now.. balding and a little over weight he go TKO'd BTW

i have the dvd but havent watched it in about a year, it is a great watch. kerr was awesome and a beast, royce turned down a fight against kerr back in the pride days also. i love jiu jitsu but alot of times a great wrestler like kerr with some submission defense can neutralize a jitz guy especially with a strength and weight difference. royce was 170 and kerr was around 250, royce woulda took a pounding imo

Kerr was one of those guys, right place at the right time. Roided up and focused he was damn near unbeatable but as you can see he was never truly at peace with his demons and ended up paying the price.
