It's funny, everyone saying he's done because of his tricep. But I guess they're right...nope I can't think of any past reigning Mr. Os with glaring upper arm deficiencies...nope not one.
Plus the tricep is so much less important than, say, a biceps tear for instance. Now that would really keep someone from winning an Olympia, oh, wait a minute...

When did the trend to a bulking (and I mean bulking up and being extremely fat) phase start? I don't ever remember pros before the 90s being this soft and fat "coated". (Or did the 70s and 80s pros have a bulking phase and we never saw it, because the bodybuilding mags never showed it to us? The web makes it much easier to post these embarrassing pictures.)

Wow ronnie just doesnt look as invincible as he used to. I guess he is mortal afterall. Shame really, eventually something had to give. I don't see ronnie breaking haney's record.

Robocop, stop posting that bs photoshopped pic. As is plainly clear from the pictures above it, he is fat but not small. I also don't think it is a triceps tear; it appears to be olecranon bursitis....google it and you will see what I am talking about. Anywho, anybody who has followed bb over the past few years knows that in the three months after the Mr. Olympia Ronnie hardly trains. Before morons start ordaining a new champ, lets see how he looks come Jully or so. His best year ever was 2003 and it was well documented in Flex and MuscleMag that that year he actually trained from the week after the 2002 Mr. Olympia. I bet that was why he was so hard and dry. I feel that three months off or so is too long for a world class bb, but it works for him. Also, he is like 41 years old. Remember, Jay gets fat too. Only dude to stay in shape year round is Dex and that is simply genetics.

Now, what I want to know is, does he know how silly he looks "raising da roof?" Does anyone other than Ronnie do that shit anymore? Not cool. There are things that 300 lb man should not do, and raising da roof is one of them.

If you ask me, these pics symbolize why Ronnie is/was great... his size and aesthetic appearance.
It seems like as he tries to gain more and more size each year he starts diminishing this old look. I'm not "in the know" as to the compound and chemicals he used that made his stomach more so distended, but just imagine what would've happened if he layed off of them and just sticked to hardcore training...

The tricep looks ok to me.... The problem is in the elbow. It may be a bursitis or something like that.
Anyone knows how long does it take to recover from that? Maybe Milos can clarify...

There is no tricep tear. You can't flex a tear that has just occurred. If it were torn, there is a good chance it would still be swollen with obvious bruising. Dude has a bursitis of the olecranon process. It will be go down with rest and anti-inflammatories. If needed, an orthopoedic surgeon can drain the thing and put Ronnie on a taper of steroids (no D-bol...prednisone). All you haters need to chill and see what the man looks like in six months or so. Then, if he still looks like shit, you can proclaim this to be Jay's or Gustavo's or Gunther's year.
