Do the one meal a day plan to be lean.  Takes a few days to get used to though.

It worked for me when I was in my 20's and 30's, but I was also working out 6 days/wk. The metabolism slows as you age and getting fat is too easy.  Now I eat 2 meals on off days and 3-4 meals on workout days.  Carb and calorie management is the key.  Fuck the cardio.

If you train with a lot of volume you don't need it. Training is the cardio. I lift in general with one or two work sets. I bet my entire workout is burning under 200 calories.  An additional 200 to 400 calories from cardio is most welcome. I've seen plenty of guys working out 6 days a week hitting body parts three times a week that are ripped with zero traditional cardio.

I'd say focus on hitting the right macros.  Number of meals isn't as important as bro scientists led us to believe.
