here's my current thoughts on supps
most supps are just food or a convenient way to fit in food. for example I have trouble eating breakfast in the morning, much easier to throw a scoop of protein in water and mix in some quick oats and suck it down. no magic, just calories, could care less about what kind of protein or spiking or whatever, just convenient calories to keep me from eating pizza later in the day. same could be said for carb powders if you do endurance sports or long weight training sessions
all the other stuff....vitamins, bcaa, aminos, fish oils, greens etc, again a source of food or nutrition, nothing more, nothing magic, useful for someone lacking for whatever reason
the rest...stuff purported to be performance enhancing, either 90% bullshit or 10% toxic and/or habit forming, usually fairy dusted with shit that can cause health problems, high bp, liver/kidney/heart issues, take at own risk
