Yeah I felt the same for the last couple of years. However this year I went to capital city in mid summer, saw lots of big ass dudes, and I realized something very important. Bodybuilding is about building, it's not about looking the best it's about building something that hasn't been seen before. It might sound kind of gay but for me it means operation rebuild is gonna work.

yea I think the "sport" of bodybuilding sucks. I think people should strive to make themselves healthier though.

I don't like Flex's 99 look.
way too much oil in his arms.
compared to his 93 look, its like night and day
hell, you can see the site injection mark (bulge) in those front double bi shots on his left arm near the elbow..

This was Flex at his biggest and Flex believes this was
his best or close to best contest. He was 252 chasing Ronnie
in size and probably put more into the 1999 Olympia than
any other contest. He was slightly lighter than this show
at the 99 O. He was 216 @ the 93 AC which many consider his best.
That is a lot of mass difference. My personal fave is the 98 AC flex.
He hadn't hit the site injections really hard yet and was probably in
his best condition ever around 232.
Of course weight doesn't always mean quality and Ronnie Coleman
in 1999 was just as big in most areas as he was in 2003 although
close to 30 pounds heavier. Ronnie's chest, arms, delts, back were
just as big in 1999 as 2003. He gained close to 30 pounds in his legs,
glutes,gut and water. Just an analogy that weight doesn't matter
very much, it's what you look like. King Kamali would bring in a fairly
conditioned 250 something in his later years but still looked worse for the extra weight.

He looked awesome at the 93 ac and the 96 ac? I'm not sure he didnt play with escilene even in the real early days, regardless he looked very good.

I enjoyed 1990s bodybuilding and have since lost the my naivete about the true nature of the cult "sport" of bb via Getbig and other bb sites. I used to read FLEX mag (M&F, Ironman, Musclemag, etc...) while defecating all the insane, excess protein (which would never make me a pro bb) into the toilet bowl.
