my guess is he is gravely mentally ill. he makes sure to kill her (stomps her head in the end i think) and then stays there like he wants to be caught. he was later arrested on the spot by police the video description reads.

How can no one step in and do, oh, I don't know, SOMETHING? The prevalence of cowardice among our own species is thoroughly upsetting.
I am not a coward and have stepped in more than once to provide assistance to someone who needed it when another was assaulting/abusing.
This video is just more evidence to back my belief that the human species is too prone to being faulty and needs to be made extinct.

In fairness Im going to guess she was a goner within the first 3 stabs that occurred in less than 10 seconds,most people from any country would freeze up if they saw some maniac with a knife going to town on someone, self preservation instinct kicks in quick.

Ruthless? Yes. Though, a better understanding of China's law easily explains the lack of assistance by passerby's. In China, you can actually be sued for lending assistance. Quite a few people, who stop to administer aid, have been successfully sued. It's the same reason nobody stopped when the van ran over that baby in the video running the rounds a few months back. Everyone is so fearful of being sued. Especially since a great majority live under the poverty line. Some messed up shit.

I don't wanna say it but I live in Holland and I think the Dutch are sort of like this also. I've heard of lots of instances of people being knocked off bikes/scooters and nobody helps them at all, just drive on by. I do be trolling Dutchguy quite a lot but the culture here is sort of "look after yourself and yourself only".
A girl in work in the canteen fell over in front of about 200 people a few months ago, spilling her tray everwhere just after she finished her lunch. I was the only one who got up to help her to her feet and check she was okay, people were too embarrassed or looked away. She was holding her ankle like she twisted it but it was more her pride me thinks because she was fine after a minute or two.
About 3am back in Ireland one night this guy got out of a car with a ball and chain with spikes, swinging it and randomly attacking a Brazilian guy in a carpark. They both ended up on the ground and two cars drove up to them and the guys friends hopped out and started kicking the Brazilian guy. I jumped in to stop them fucking killing him, they just looked at me and said nothing and drove away...saved the dude from a serious beating, he was thankful and it was completely random, he didn't know them at all they were just off their face on drugs
