not that God doesn't want us to be strong. He'd much rather we be strong in his word and helping others and being good in general etc. Alexxx i press 75 pound dumbells. whatever that translates to in barbell bench press...

ok confession time..

First year I started training at 15 years old I was already working up to the 80s for 8-10 reps. But I was having a lot of trouble with the bench press. Thats when i made it my friend and now we get along so well.  :)

Anyways I think God intended us to take care of ourselfs body and mind. To build a strong temple and not to abuse it.

its says in the bible that god answers your prayer if it is his will, i dont see how u lifting weight in the gym would be his will but you never know if something good was to come from it i guess 8)

lifting weights is no greater deed than writing good music or playing good golf or pool or anything else. if a person only lifted weights and nothing according to God's will he wouldn't have God's aproval. if he lifting no weights but did everything else according to God's will it would be a lot better.

Twenty five thousand kids die every day from starvation. People are fucked with diseases, natural disasters, assult, etc. and you Jesus nut huggers, through your self centered delusions, find that god places some priority to your workouts, or sports game, is downright laughable.
