I believe you are missing the connection between Zimmerman and this case of home invasion.  Zimmerman was engaged in trying to follow or stop what he considered to be suspicious characters before they could rob or invade someone's home.  

The idea is that Zimmerman was essentially a night-watchman trying to stop this kind of shit from occurring.  Obviously, he didn't handle the situation correctly.  He should have kept his distance once he made the call to the police.

At the same time, Trayvon didn't have to fight him.

On the emotional side,  I would hope the guy is identified and brought to trial. At trial and in every news statement I would make it a point to say I forgive him. The day he is released from prison I would make it my lifes mission to make sure he never had a good day. I wouldn't kill him right out, but eventually he would wish I did.

Of course the reality is, I would let justice prevail and be happy with whatever the courts decided...

This, and it drives me crazy. I get after my parents about doing this. Nobody should answer the door to someone they don't know. Hell I'm a getbigger with a gun and I don't even do that, I figure worst case scenario they want to kill me, best case they want to try to sell me some shit I don't want or try to change my religion. Never answer the door to someone you don't know. (Exception if its an attractive female you might want to give the sex to).

Something about this doesnt seem quite right. Can't put my finger on it. Obviously violent crime happens all the time so I'm not doubting that shit like this goes on and if true it really is a horrible event to live through....BUT something seems off here.

I would attribute it to the fact most people don't get to witness this kind of violence and it shocks them how brutal someone can be to another defenseless human. happens quite often, just not videoed as often.

You could have a point....Unfortunately I'm no stranger to violence. On the contrary it is my experience in dealing with this kind of shit that makes me think something is off.

In any event, everyone has been exposed to video recorded violence since the internet era...World Star Hip Hop, Rotten, etc...So thats nothing new either.
