I am doing a marathon...Most marathon runners start carbing 2 and 3 days before..For me, I'd feel like shit if I did that so when I did the first marathon, I did all protein for 10 days and carbed the day before and I think my body held on to them for dear life. It worked the last time so I'm doing it again
