yeah the author is a very famous rock climber (the inventor of modern bouldering) and an awesome bodyweight athlete himself.  He lists his some of his feats on that list: A number of OAP with and without weights, OAP on one finger, and OAP on a 1/2"surface. One-arm front lever pull-up.  All at around 180.  Very impressive.

Brad johnson from dragondoor.com done this...

Looped 2 trouser belts over a chinning bar. Graved a pair of COC 2 (i think) and turned them upside down so that the spring was in his palm. He then closed them on the belts looped over the chinning bar so that he was gripping the belt with the butt of the COC's

He then chinned.

Phenomenal

Also i believe that they are real 45's or 20kgs as used in Europe. Looks like 5x20kgs and 1x15kg

250kgs or 550lbs.

He was Olunpic Heavyweight weightlifting champion and could do a OAC at 280lbs!

It was squats we were talking about.

Should either watch the video or read the writing properly.

Easy mistake i guess though.

i don't think anyone even took the time to read the link Goudy, and if they did the wouldn't care.  People at getbig are not interested in chinning.  They like b-pressing and squatting because it better suits their obese condition.

Hmm the way he puts down the bar on the bench, like its nothing. Squat looks very real, the bar is bending, deep squats. guy had super strengths.

The generally acknowledged all-time chin-up/pull-up king is a guy named Alex Lowe. He was one on the worlds premier free climbers, technical climbers & high altitude climbers. Cat was unbelievable and absolutely indestructible. A legend in the climbing community. In a daily workout, which indeed lasted the entire day, he would complete 10 sets X 75 reps of various PU's & CU's. Cat did them as easy as I do bodyweight deep knee bends.

He was killed by an avalanche in 1999.

Yuri Vlasov is a Russian hero. My mother told me about him. He broke his lower back but that did not stop him from getting back into shape.

Weightlifting achievements

Olympic Champion (1960)
Silver Medalist in Olympic Games (1964)
Four-time Senior World Champion (1959, 1961-1963)
Silver Medalist in Senior World Championships (1964)
Six-time Consecutive Senior European Champion (1959 - 1964)
Set thirty four world records during career

those are primarily muscle endurance feats (and I'm not sure that they are that impressive).  Does he have any strength accomplishments to boast of?

As far as powerlifting and bodybuilding go... no not really. Cat did climb Everest without supplemental oxygen and he was one of 19 people who have ever climbed all (14) 8,000m+ mountains in the world. Only 13 of those are alive, all the others died somewhere on a mountain.

10x75 reps probaly doesnt correlate to strength as well as you may think.

Though i guarentee you no matter what weight you are if you do that amount of reps you can easily rep 2x b/w which is astounding strength
