James K. Polk most likely belongs on Rushmore. He is the only president to have accomplished every single thing he set out to do, gaining more than 33 percent of land to add to the United States, easily defeating Mexico with an incredibly successful campaign, re established the Independent Treasury system and reduced all Tariffs. All of this in the one term which he pledged to serve and then leave.
He was by far, our most effective President.
