TNA done??
« on: August 07, 2015, 04:51:43 AM »
For years we have thought TNA was doomed and still managed to claw for survival but are they finally done?

Seems Destination America will be terminating their contract next month

The whole Hernandez debacle which led to MVP leaving

And the list goes on.....

I dont watch the product but hope they survive as the boys/girls need somewhere aside from WWE to go...

Without a TV show, I don't see how they survive. Their live shows don't draw.

The company has had a Vampire-like ability to survive, but I think, this time, it's really over.

The question, then, becomes, does WWE pick anybody up off the scrape heap. If I were Vince, I'd sign EC3, maybe the best character in wrestling, and Bobby Lashley, if only to feud with Brock.

I don't see them - or any wrestling company - surviving without TV.

No TV means they have nothing to fall back on because the Carters wont be pumping money in hand over fist to keep it afloat. Its a piss poor product which has only nosedived since the arrival of Dixie, ive seen more people attend political debates than their shows.

What they did to MVP was a farce, if they cant be arsed to check things for themselves before entering into legal contracts with wrestlers then its proof enough they havent got a clue what theyre doing. Guys arent being paid on a very regular basis, their best talents are not going to be there for much longer & 90% of their roster wouldnt get on NXT.

Given the circumstances, I predict Angle will be back in the Fed by Fall of 2016.

Yes, it sure is. He's basically signed alot of former TNA and ROH talent. I believe he and Dixie are doing some kind of talent exchange. JJ is trying to secure them a TV deal.

Even though wrestling tends to get good ratings, it tends to have a hard time attracting the high level advertisers.

I've heard Vince has been trying forever to get Car makers to advertise on Raw, but has been unsuccessful.

You know something is a tough sell, if Vince can't make the sale.

If he couldn't get it during the Attitue years, he probably won't convince them now.

Supposedly Hernandez was done with Lucha Underground and went back to TNA joining MVP's group. They filmed 2-3 weeks of taping with him. Long story short, Hernandez was still under contract and TNA had to re-edit all the shows and eliminate Hernandez parts to avoid litigation from Lucha.

MVP supposedly got upset and quit, parted ways etc...

No...TNA is not done. As long as the Carter's continue to poor money into it, it will be around. Dixie Carter's old man has more money than Vince McMahon and a real billionaire. All they need is a good TV deal and the RIGHT PERSON to guide the ship.

Given the circumstances, I predict Angle will be back in the Fed by Fall of 2016.

It seems like Angle is the one guy who's currently on the outside looking in. Foley, Booker, Christian, RVD, all left and were let back. IMHO I'd think he'd jump at the chance to be back in the Fed, all of his interviews prior to his TNA resigning were about having a final run there, but they declined him.

I thought he had heat with Hunter for going behind his back and talking directly with Vince.

Basically, but as long as the Carter's keep pouring money into it, it will still be around.

Word is that Angle is done with TNA and will leave in December as he will honor his contract. Royal Rumble anyone???
