Kinda reminds me of that NOC comeback he attempted in the '90s. High expectations, looked great from the front, but ended up with average placings.

He looked great. Problem was not his back, but rather he did not know how to pose his back. Overall a very impressive physique and better than many of todays pros.

you got that right, gary from the front, looked amazing. he is one of the few pros, that made his money and walked away and kept it. he was smart he got paid very well by the wbf, much more than anyone in weider was making at the time, wbf folds , comes back and joe signs him to a nice contract, because he sold alot of magazines. that is why gary never competed much he didnt have to. he also had a successfull clothing line as well at one time

He looks to be taking the Palumbo/Yates approach to longevity - there were more hormones in my steak last night than Gary now appears to have in his bloodstream - sensible man - he chose not to die for us b1tches :)

well on a shape/insertion standpoint yes ,benfatto had a wasp waist from a great lat flair and full arms and narrow legs,,,then he later blew his pec and decided to get too big blew out his waist and grew legs he never had in 90's
