So WWE have announced their 3QEC and the results genuinely shocked me.
- Smackdown ratings up 2%
- Raw ratings up 3%
- Domestic attendance down 7% but international up 15%
- Licensing revenue up
- $150 million credit with $69 million in cash & investments
- $50 million advance this month from a new TV deal
- Network subscriber engagement surpasses all expectations
- Overall growth of $40 million over passed year
Vince is making cuts EVERYWHERE which may or may not be necessary. Hes building a cabin with dead wood IMO with the product hes offering compared to the product he COULD offer.
Personally i think it wouldnt be such a bad idea to branch into a post watershed show whereby they ease back into the old days when the older fans like us can actually show appreciation for it. Keep Raw & SD for the kids, but offer something for the adults on a smaller scale initially. Even if they make it a Network only show, not only does it potentially bring in more subscribers but it offers a tremendous possibility to increase revenue overall.
Then again i have had a ridiculously stressful & long week & maybe im just talking out of my ass, in which case i apologise!
