Trained legs earlier today,
Didn't feel particularly strong or great in the gym
Did a fair workout considering,

Only now 8hrs later my legs are seizing up & not
Functioning properly....... 🤷🏻‍♂️  🤣😂🤣
Hit them harder & better than I thought at the time.

Good on you man.

I am one month into wearing a walking boot.  No leg training since - but I just picked up a leg extension/curl for my ironmaster bench.  These are exercises I never do on a normal basis, but I can do them and some reverse hypers with out re injuring my foot.

Better than nothing I guess.

Not unusual when hitting different angles and elevations.

Just getting back into lifting after two months off. Longest break I've taken in years besides when being injured.
Sometimes life just gets in the way but it feels great to lift again.
Sounds homo but it's like spiritual for me. My life is just better mentally and obviously physically when I train.

Exercise releases endorphins and provide a dopamine hit, so it makes sense.

Only made it to the gym three times last week. Trying this week to get back to my normal of Mon-Fri with weekends off.
Should be decent weather this weekend so looking forward to a family hike with the dog.
We have a great dog park in our city with a big open area and miles of trails through the woods.
When I use to do the OCR's this is where I would run to train.

Cool.

I tested my foot with a trail walk - was supposed to be 2 miles, then got fucked up on the map and it went 4.85.  Was sore, and had me worried, but felt ok next day so who knows.

Been a bunch of start and starts but I'm back in the gym. Going back to old style lifting for me, heavy sets with proper rest in between.

...Glad I was able to take the dog for a long walk Sunday before the snow. I let him go wherever he wanted and stop and smell as long as he wanted. A couple times I swear he looked at me like "You sure I can stay here and sniff this tree for 5 minutes if I want ???" ;D

Those trail maps and guides are always off. Headed out for a 7.9 mile hike, followed the trail, no offshoots and still hit 9.4 miles.

Squats tonight, light weight with real slow reps. I'm working on my form. Like I mentioned before my right leg is bigger then my left so working on that.
It's not like it's obvious but I can tell.

Been doing some offhanded cardio type stuff. Burpees, sandbags, etc. Will hit the weights again next week.
Are you doing some pistol squats?

No I need to try that. You just reminded me by bringing them up that I should also add Bulgarian squats to my workout.

I use the movements for warming up, find myself getting a pump from them.
