i thought it was 16, 8 on flat and 8 on incline.


Yup,2 warm up's then 8 flat bench,then 2 warmup's and 8 incline bench.


.....you'll have to excuse chaos..sometimes his xxxlarge conehead gets a different reception then the rest of us ;D

I've done 2 warm up's and 4 work sets forever.let me tell you I STRUGGLED the last few sets.

did you try to keep the weight the same or did you have to drop a little on the last few sets?

I've been bored with my chest workouts and wanted yo try something different.

....chest is good and sore 8)

How about putting more than 2 45's on each side?  ;D

What do you consider good for the average suburbanite?   I know you're doing 700lb yoke walks so don't use yourself as a barometer.

From what I've read, decent lifts are:

Bench 1.5 x bodyweight =  good.   2 x = great
Squat 2 x = good 2.5 = great
Deadlift 2 x = good,  2.5-3 = great

i squat close to 2.5 times bodyweight.not official depth i guess  but at or below parallel 440 for 3 reps .
knees wrapped and belt tho,,,i weigh around 190,,

Well think about it, when you go to the gym how many people do you see benching 1.5x's their bodyweight? Or squatting 2x's?

For the average person just hitting their bodyweight is a milestone, anything above would be bonus.

I tried but had to drop the weight...it was either that or do like 2 or 3 reps for the last sets.
