Bigorexia the opposite of anorexia found mostly in females has been turning up in frequent cases among men and has reseachers studying this new trend in mental disorders. A guy who is already big or much larger than the average person yet sees himself as not that big or just slightly more muscular then average. This distorted body perception creates an individual who is never happy with the way they look and will go to amazing lengths (ie. drugs, eat crazy amounts) to get "big and muscular" when in reality they all ready are. The disorder defines that it needs to disrupt your life in more than one area (ie. home and work) and cause distress in your personal life. I imagine many pro's would have this disorder and many of us on here are on the verge of it but how many on here think you may be close or full blown bigorexic....Interesting stuff and a very new disorder being looked at to possibly be included in future DSM catalogues (bible of disorders).

Hard to find out what age is affected the most but I would guess it is when your younger and eventually you grow out of the "im not big phase" but unfortunately it continues into adulthood for many....

Not sure if I suffer from bigorexia or not.

btw it's just another word to say "bodybuilders have a small dick so they try to compensate".

All the best bodybuilders suffer from reverse anorexia - that's why they keep getting bigger and better. They're never satisfied.

Having said that though - there's probably some guys who have it who have it so bad that they're too inscure to step up onstage and will never compete in their lives.
