« on: March 20, 2007, 03:48:41 PM »
I want to purchase a weight bar with spring collars. Any recommendations of where to go, either on the web? or in NYC? Any suggestions on brands?

thanks,

Texas power bar's one of the best values; compare the prices with what's available at Omni Fitness around 13th St. & Broadway, which has a decent selection and good prices, and Gym Source at 40 E. 52nd St., which has a better selection and is slightly more expensive but worth seeing. Gym source has a good selection of Hampton bars.

if you can afford it go olympic curl and straight bars.  Dumbells, i go with the weider adjustable you spin the collar on.  bowflex 55 lb adjustable seem to bulky for me, but the principal is great.
