What the hell was that
???
:-\
-
strong dude. great inspiration to us all.
-
May explain his back development.
-
Great Arab genetics.
-
huh-esque workout
-
what an embarrassing oily mess those fuckin' arms and shoulders are
-
Ehm, when is he doing the mentioned chins? ???
-
My only guess is that he feels the stretch at the bottom---and
also be may not have the grip to do a full rep for a complete set.
-
did anybody download his on the way series dvd part 4,5,6? I only can find part 1-3
-
Gh15 what to hell were you doing explain yourself. no wonder your back was weakest part
-
Nice range o'motion, but i guess if it worked for him...
-
What a pathetic block. Juiced beyond imagination and not being able to perform one single dip or chinup with his own bodyweight. ;D
-
what an embarrassing oily mess those fuckin' arms and shoulders are
agreed ;D
-
I can do two plates, but then again I'm pretty twinky.
-
you can see the oil in the bis and shoulders.... which makes no sense as those are stron bodyparts for him.... his tris were seriously lacking in comparision to his delts and bis...
i dont know why he and flex wheeler even touched that stuff
-
Orville Burke use to do his chins the same way.
-

Ha, true
you know why, Nasser possibly maxed out his frame---possibly, or got older and didn't see it necessary to to more to gain more, too much of an added risk. Whatever we may say about Nasser, he was a smart man, and weighed the risk vs reward.
As far as Flex, can you imagine a 280 pound Flex? I can't. The Synthol gave him the illusion of size, and he did it artfully, while even gaining a little bit of size thru the "normal" bbing way.
-

I agree on the former count. Nasser's delts and bis were great even in the '94 NOC.
I wouldn't say his tris were seriously lacking. They were pretty fucking big. But I'm back with you on him and Flex using all of that oil. They ruined their bodies with that shit.
-
they are called "lat shrugs", i dont do them but they can be useful for stretching the back out. like the DC "extreme stretching", supposedly helps with looseing the fascia.
-
Uploaded this once upon the time to youtube because the idiocy Nasser displays is too good to be true.
There are even people who pm'ed me for more... sad world.
-
Cutler's form beats Nasser's by a chin

big tris but lacking because his delts and bis over powered them

:o
-
bis are strong part for nasser? lol
-
bis are strong part for nasser? lol
no?
-
no?
yes he had super bis...
why did he ruin them will oil...
bbers are strange people..
-
nasser did not have good arms, he had bad bad arms, look at his early pics.
first u say look at how he ruined his bis with oil
then as proof that he had great bis, you post a pic of bis full of oil
really?
-
he ought to wrap the belt and the weights attached to it around his frikin neck and jump off the bench instead of standing on it....what a fkin tool this guy is! Another proper example to show the youth the correct way to lift weights smartly and safely.
-
Movie star good looks, front and center, as usual.
-
bis are strong part for nasser? lol
Yup!
-
they are called "lat shrugs", i dont do them but they can be useful for stretching the back out. like the DC "extreme stretching", supposedly helps with looseing the fascia.
Spot on.
He would also do them at the end of his back workout.
-
huh-esque workout
Was thinking the same thing.. and Huh thought he invented something new ::) someone's always been there done that!! ;)
-
Didn't Nasser train Chris Cormier for the Gladiator try outs?
-
Dear god... that is worse then cutler
-
they are called "lat shrugs", i dont do them but they can be useful for stretching the back out. like the DC "extreme stretching", supposedly helps with looseing the fascia.
all this science bull shit makes me laugh.....
nasser had a very weak back all this fascia stretching fuckery is a bunch of bull shit
the man with the greatest back ever ronnie coleman .... do you see how he trained back....
nuff said.... and he could get away with doing all that stupidness but he outworked EVERYONE.. which is why he dominated....
...
i despise when people try to over complicate lifting weight
nonsense

Who said anything about "science?" It's a finishing stretching and resistence exercise. He did lots of other exercises for back as well. Pros' specific bodypart-development are relative to their genetics not their training, because they already know how to train them and are consuming the right nutrients and drugs. You are retarded if you think that a certain pro would have a better or worse bodypart based on a clip you see on youtube lol. As if of all the experts Nasser knew too bad he didn't have someone like "mesomorph" to tell him how to improve his back ::)
-
I saw a video one time of him doing squats.
No wonder his back was bad, squats don't work your back ::)

oh the old.... hes a pro footballer how dare you highlight him doing bullshit on the field....
oh so i guess if you go to a 5 star restaurant.... and the food is shit... you dare not open your mouth because a 5 star chef prepared it .. you cant do better....
truth.. coleman greatest back or dorian... trained it hard....
non of this fancy bullshit.....
-

So you really think Nasser's back would have looked better if he didn't do the weighted lat shrugs from time to time and kept all else equal? If so you are dumber than I thought.
-
hahahahahaha
hey, big guy, so you know where I can download them?
-
So you really think Nasser's back would have looked better if he didn't do the weighted lat shrugs from time to time and kept all else equal? If so you are dumber than I thought.
nice to know you spared a thought for me.... cant say ive done so for you..... different levels you see..
and i did not say him not doing that would make his back better...
what im saying is
1: that "excersise looks like nonsese..
2. over complicates the simple concept of training.....
3. nasser back was not up to par with the rest of him.... hence why i cant see how all this is rekevant to his back as he lacked a basic good back for a pro....
all just my opinions... never did i say they were fact...
peace
-
well he says hes doing ´half-half´ reps and stretching his back, and with no weight he can do completes etc etc..
-
So you really think Nasser's back would have looked better if he didn't do the weighted lat shrugs from time to time and kept all else equal? If so you are dumber than I thought.
I think his back detail would have looked better had he trained like Dorian, Ronnie, Shawn, or even Flex, Chris Cormier and Kevin...
Something oddly wrong when two of the biggest dudes of the 90s, Nasser and Paul, had crappy back detailing, and then you see how they trained them...well, wonder why.
-

Actually they did train pretty similar. Like I said that was just a finishing exercise Nasser did and otherwise he'd do all the other basics with full RM.

Aren't you the guy who has been training for like 10-15 years with 20 inch arms who comes on here starting threads about different ways to curl or whatever...
-
they are called "lat shrugs", i dont do them but they can be useful for stretching the back out. like the DC "extreme stretching", supposedly helps with looseing the fascia.
not only that,,, "full range of motion" is another myth , crap... keep the tension always , do not fully contract nor stretch the worked muscle during a rep....
-

1. i havent trained 10 yrs
2 my arms arent a weak point
3 im not a pro bber on drugs eating 10mor whatever meals a day who needs to look a certain way to make a living
-
Oh, so the exercises Dorian did were the reason his back was so good? ::)
By you people's logic Nasser could have just followed Dorian's routine and his back would have been just as good.
Even after gh15 has run up in this bitch, you people still think certain exercises will overcome genetics/drugs? ::)
-
they are called "lat shrugs", i dont do them but they can be useful for stretching the back out. like the DC "extreme stretching", supposedly helps with looseing the fascia.
So you can shrug your lats now? Learning new anatomy and physiology daily here!
-
So you can shrug your lats now? Learning new anatomy and physiology daily here!
;D ;D ;D
guess that didnt work for him...
funny thing is if nasser had even a half decent back .. for a pro
he would have a sandow or 2
-
So you can shrug your lats now? Learning new anatomy and physiology daily here!
I know you can do shrugs via the pull up bar and dip bars...
-
It`s more of an downward clenching of the scapula as opposed to being a shrug........just vernacular.
-
If Nasser had one of these in his mouth, he could have gained at least one more inch of ROM per chin up
(http://www.bitetech.com/wp-content/uploads/jay-cutler-promo.jpg)
-
strong dude. great inspiration to us all.
"Thanks for asking . . . 405 for 20 reps."
THE BEEF
-
nasser can go slip on a shish kabob
-
Pointless.. :-\
-
what the fuck is that, it has got to be the worst thing i have ever seen, he should be ashamed of himself
-
looks like nasser cant get up, maybe lower the weight ???
-
Fucking haters in here. BB rule no.1
Can't complete a full proper rep? = INCRESE WEIGHT
-

Don't give away Nasser's secret.
Second - in his defense one of his main sponsors was Enron which forced him to hold back on that exercise to no spill innocent oil.

In truth, BigBobs rebuttal, is correct. Really, the only one whom could make an educated decision on wheteher Nasser was training his back correctly is another proffessional.
To be an olympia calibur bodybuilder is not something you learn in the gym or in a book or watching videos. I am quite sure Nasser was very particuler in whom he got help with whether with drugs, training posing etc. He THEN practiced what he had learned everyday, to become a proffesional at the highest level of bodybuilding. I work as a Physician Asst. and in no way shape or form could I ever give a higher proffesional opinion than an MD-That is a fact.
By your board name, I would assume that you were born in 1978, (or maybe not) making you what 32yrs old? at 32 yrs of age (if Nasser was really born in 1965) he was #2 in the world in 1997 at the olympia in which many believed that he beat Dorian yates. He was not however, making uneducated critiques of someones training on a bodybuilding forum, whom does not know the particulars of being able to compete in the highest levels of bodybuilding.

Another Team Nasser gimmick.

lol at you guys thinking anyone who is pro-Nasser is a "gimmick."

lol at you guys thinking anyone who is pro-Nasser is a "gimmick."
Not anyone , just people who rarely post and only seem to appear when Nasser is being criticized , like Sharma and the swami ;)
I highly suspect you are guilty of using a gimmick or two , admittedly I have no proof but it's safe to assume.

I took a brief look at his posting history and it seemed to be the only post related to Nasser, so you're wrong again. Swami has posted pictures of himself as well.
I used a different account on here for a few months some years ago, only because one guy kept posting my personal info when I'd use the bigbobs account, but since that's stopped long ago I've only been using my own account and have never used to any other.
I think you should get used to the fact that there are many others who support Nasser and not assume they are gimmicks.
-
Ofcourse we can't know whether he really intended to do lat shrugs , or if he's too weak to do pullups (or both) but he sure looks like a douche doing it.
Nasser is irrelevant anymore, why are we still having debates about him? ???

Relevent enough for you to to click on the thread, view the video and post an opinion about it. So why dont' you answer your own question, if he is irrelevent, why did you make a post about his lat shrugs/chinups?

I wasn`t insinuating that bobs,mesmorph73`s post was just kind of funny. :)
-
nasser from the front... before synthol..... monster...
his back was bad though...
ive never watched any of nassers "the way" vids
what kind of back training did he do....

::)
The relevant topic here is the training video, not whether Nasser's physique was better than Dorian's or another competitor. The obsession with him a decade later baffles me, and quite frankly irritates me.
Regardless, making one comment about one of his videos does not mean that he's relevant to me.

Its impossible for Bobs to imagine that anyone can find Nasser irrelevant since he's so obessed with him (and manages to twist reality in his head to actually believe Nasser should have won 3 O's), so in his mind you must just be a hater.
JK Bobs, I know I give you a ton of shit, but really I should be complimenting you, I mean, reality is right there, constantly smacking you in the face; But you just keep plugging on, keep refusing to see whats right there in front of you. You just keep up the delusion that somehow, someday, reality might somehow change and people might actually start believing that Nasser was more than just a bitter washed up one time runner up who couldnt quite keep up.. ;D

i'm sure nasser never knew about heavy barbell shrugs and deadlifts... he's probably kicking himself as we speak for neglecting these secret exercises. ::)

If you watch most of his back training, its pretty sad.
Im sure its a combo of genetics/laziness.

2/10
And I only gave you a positive critique as I know it gets you a Nasser thong discount at checkout.

The 2002 Nasser is the same Nasser that was at every show. ::)
