Can you imagine living in a country where a boyscout can't be openly atheist and or homosexual...
I like many things about America. But there's also things I don't like, and people shouldn't sugarcoat the problems.
One great thing about America is that you can form any group based on any principle you want as long as it doesn't impinge on the freedoms of others. Theres a "Tall" club where anybody 6'5" and over can join. There's also MENSA where you have to have a high IQ. There are Christian clubs as well as all Black clubs (Congressional Black Caucus).
The Boy Scouts were specifically based on Christian principles which is one of the reasons why it became so popular. It taught a value system that many parents wanted their children to have. There is nothing stopping anybody from having a Gay boys club. I suspect the reason nobody has is because most parents wouldn't want their pre-teen and teen boys to join a club based on homosexuality.
Instead of trying to cram down your value system on established organizations and forcing them to change to suit your value system why don't you simply start your own club or organization?

This is not true any more. Back in 1880 my great grandparents emegrated to the USA from Scotland because the ordinary people could work hard and make something of their lives in the USA. Back in the old countries the ruling classes owned the capital and the ordinary man was little more than a paid slave. My great grandparents came back to Scotland in 1905 with my baby grandfather, having made a lot of money in the construction industries around New York. Great Grandfather became an owner of capital back in his home country and continued to capitalise on the success which had started for him in the USA.
130 years later the USA now has a new ruling class with 1% controlling 99% of the capital. They have gone the way of the old countries without the social benefit the old countries now have.

It's all relative. Do you really live the big life where you are from? No, because your money won't buy you much. I live in a 3000sq foot house with a in ground swimming pool. Add another 1500sq foot for my gym with 9 foot ceilings that's not counted as living space. I am just a blue collar worker too. You "rich" Europeans live in little shack houses dreaming if I could only make Euros in America I could be rich. Come "holiday" and live large for a couple of weeks. You could never afford to live here and you know it.

It's all relative. Do you really live the big life where you are from? No, because your money won't buy you much. I live in a 3000sq foot house with a in ground swimming pool. Add another 1500sq foot for my gym with 9 foot ceilings that's not counted as living space. I am just a blue collar worker too. It's not "all relative". There are clusters of wealth in both Europe and the USA, and then there are clusters of poverty. I'd far rather be poor and live in Europe. In northern / western Europe you get looked after by the state, in Southern Europe everything can be very cheap if you are a local and surrounded by family.
