yes, it's true for me as well

i've never had a good calf pump ever, of course i rarely ever train them so maybe that's why

my chest and lats pump up real nice and it makes me look even more disproportionate :-X

I don't really train for pumps and never had problems with getting it if I wanted to. The only consistent rule I find is that my best bodypart is strongest one. My chest is very weak and I never had any problems getting insane pump in that area, it looks somewhat decent when pumped. My legs are my best bodypart but I do not think there's anyone who has any problems with getting pump there...

I have shit arms.. They always feel flat. My legs and chest do get pumped super easier though.. so I definitely agree with this

one thing ive noticed over the years, is , for my best developed bodyparts i always get a good pump, no matter what.no food, no gear, no sleep, it dont matter, the strong bodypart will always get a good pump.


while the weaker bodyparts clearly dont get good pumps at all times.

hell, some bodyparts i only get pumps if i rested the day before and ate some 10k calories.

do you ppl experience the same?

everyone who trains , even if they look like shit, has a good bodypart.

when i was brutaly out of shape, the pump rule still applied.
well i put it down to the mind muscle connection. still.. everyone has weak bodyparts.

To be fucking honest, if I train for "pump" I can maintain physique but nothing happens, I get full and retain glycogen in muscles but after that period I stagnate for months. The only way for me to add any muscle is to try to add strength and I do it by linear progression, 3x5 and lowering volume.

it's because your strong bodyparts have more muscle, that's why they are strong bodyparts.

more muscle=more blood volume..better pump.

if you have tiny calves and arms and quads and delts and pecs and traps and lats like dj 181, of course they won't "blow up"..there's nothing to blow up

Not sure this is true for me - my chest and my biceps pump up better than most bodyparts but overall they're not that good compared with say delts or quads.

I still believe concentration is important. not being radical but i can chin and really feel my lats or go through the motions. Lower just before the full stretch and come up before the end position..this then is the "sweet spot" you feel it and i am a big fan of Frank Zane, i do not care what anyone here says Zane was an intelligent ambassador of Bodybuilding. concentrate on the muscle and range of motion.

By far I can get the best pump in my forearms. I can get them to feel like they are going to rip open and my hands don't really work anymore.

My gal could confirm I get an awesome pump in my major bodypart....but concerning muscles: leg extensions after squat/leg press give me a pump from hell.

Well, I also don't feel any great pump in my traps when I do shrugs, hell, I don't even do shrugs that often. They still grow like weed.

i can isolate some areas quite well, but theres no help, doing back exe rcises, i get better pumps in my shoulders and arms than in the back.

also, traps, something im notoriously badly blesses with, they just dont get a worthwhile pump, dont matter what i try, shrugs with 40lbs dumbells or olympic bar with 4 plates each side.

however, shoulders, biceps and even lats at times, will get a pump from that.

the worst is a pump in lower back when doing squats,haha, couldnt be further from the goal ;D

By the way, I think I am the only person in the world who can do full powerlifting squat with more weight than calf raises :D I can deadlift around 5 plates so 4 plates deadlift isn't much of a problem, but most of the time 2-3 plates is enough. I don't like using enormous weights in accessory lifts.
