I have hard time believing the Chicago Trib would endorse a Republican. Or are you saying they never endorsed anyone before?
The tribune was founded by a Republican, and with the exception of the overtly corrupt Taft in the 1800s,
the Tribune has always endorsed Republicans. This is a major development. It's probably not as shocking for Republicans in Chicago though, because they've had more of an opportunity to know exactly what Obama is all about, ...but we need to see more traditionally Republican papers endorsing Obama, ...especially in the rural red neck areas. Not that it would matter much, ...I doubt many of those gomers read.
