I wrote a previous thread about this played out cohort. Not only do I want them all to retire, I want them to talk less or shut up altogether! Generally speaking, all these people think and talk about are pensions, health insurance, mortgages, their freaking homes, chores, errands and how great voting is!

Feel bad for the Gen X kids that have to deal with them in their 70s and 80s and wanting to stay in their McMansions and new cars like they still have an income - whadda mess.

You train and play guitar. That means you "have a life" and have some creative and artistic streak. That means you wouldn't be the one of stereotypical boomers of which I speak. They take more pride in their bills and errands than anything else.

It's not like any of the subsequent generations are any better. At least that generation has the sense gender roles, no tolerance for phaggotry, a sense of order vs. anything goes today. They werent pussies or sympathetic to pointless or even wicked causes. Do they have flaws? Sure. But they're better than any generation after and your can take that to the bank. Gen. Y and Z or Millenials absolutely suck. My generation, gen X. We're fucked, past of the generation that had some common sense. We're a generation that had high hopes but have slipped through the cracks.

Let's see- those "Baby Boomers" invented the computer, the cell phone, unraveled the sequence of DNA, created most of the wonder medicines that we now take for granted, created the robot, artificial intelligence, etc etc. I'll take a few million more of them instead of the Millennials...

Let's see- those "Baby Boomers" invented the computer, the cell phone, unraveled the sequence of DNA, created most of the wonder medicines that we now take for granted, created the robot, artificial intelligence, etc etc. I'll take a few million more of them instead of the Millennials...
Exactly, oh and went into Space, the moon, built a space station, explored Mars and outer planets via space probes, sent one out of the solar system to the stars.. as opposed to inventing and doing what exactly, besides being snot nosed, entitled, lazy brats. I have met a few good ones, lots of wasted potential.

My dad worked at JPL in DSN, a friend was a consultant on Apollo Soyuz, I had friends in the Space Program. ..the the greatest generation and baby boomers were both involved in the above mentioned efforts... so if we cant, who can???? Who? and the Space Shuttle, my classmate invented a new form of Polio vaccine, also boomers invented the laptop computer, the desk top computer, the cell phone, video games, Aids treatments...

Space travel hasn't done one PRACTICAL thing for us! It was simply running wild with technology for the sake of it!
