Halal meat and chicken is very tasty and the way they slaughter the animal is probably more humane than most countries, if not all of them.

Back when I was a kid, my family used to buy sheep and Cows and get a butcher to slaughter them in our backyard, then they would distribute the meat to the poor people in the area.


I tell you though - a 7 year old should not watch that.... It was one of the scariest things I ever seen watching the Cow freak out as the Butcher cut its throat!

I always find it odd that they call the killing of an animal in a way humans find acceptable - HUMANE.  we are killing for fuck sake, where is the kindness, mercy, or compassion in that.

in sunna it's good to do the first cut by youself then to let the butcher deal with the dead body of the animal .. last year in al adha feast i slaughtered 3 sheep by myself (mine, my father's, and, my brother's)... al adha feast is next week,.. i am waiting to kill some more lol..

although i was not scared when watching this when i was a kid i didnt allow my son to watch it last year.. but he is more than 3 and half now and understands everything and i already explained to him how we get the meat when he asked me so will let him watch by himself this year..

Thanks for sharing, I believe there are also Hadeeth's that give examples of the importance of kindness to animals, for example prohibiting leaving the saddle/equipment on a horse when its unattended so its not unnecessarily carrying extra weight or the example of the man whose sins were forgiven for feeding a thirsty dog from his shoe?

i agree with you but beheading ppl in the way you see in these movies has nothing to do with islam.. same as killing millions of Innocent civilians to take their gas is against christianity but you still see a lot of christians do it!!..

but to be neutral you must see who starts the action and who is the one who react!!.. if your kids or your mother or your wife was killed by some invaders then you put your hand on one of them,.. what would you do?!..

They're killing for oil, you're killing for revenge.  Religion or political ideology doesn't figure into it at all, but the powerful have always used them effectively to get people to do awful shit to eachother.  

Fear, rage, and righteousness are 3 great strings to pull if you want to make people dance to your tune.  They are the main 3 messages I see in 'the news.'
