I don't know where I came across this pic, or what year it was. I'll tell you though, it rivals Dorian from the back with ease. Maybe even beats Dorian from the back due to his arms and shoulders. Insane pic !!!!!

Bay : It was an Olympia !!! Although I don't know which one. He looked amazing from the front as well !!!!

That was '97, look at the background.
But you'll also notice, it's Fux ALONE. Being compared with Yates, is where his back showed real weakness. His conditioning was good, when standing alone, but as TP used to constantly say- "anybody looks great standing alone. But that's why they have comparisons in BBing contests."

Youngblood. I completely agree with your statement on how everyone looks good standing alone. In this case however Dorian did not look better IMO. They were not compared together. It was one of those cases where you were scratching your head saying to yourself.
Am I the only one seeing how good he looked that night ?????

at the 97 mr.o he looked great. it wouldn't matter who was standing beside him. in my opinion he never reached that conditioning again. his gut was even down.

Yeah he was full but not even close to Yates' conditioning AND in this pic he has his distended monster hid from the crowd/judges. Dont get me wrong, I think he was in a league of freaks all his own but let's not get Fux vs Dorian here....

JP will be appearing in an ad for bb.com. Its 4 bodybuilders ( Idrise Ward-El, Eric Domer, Robert Hatch and JP)in a bowling alley. Should be out in the mags in a month or two. You probably won't recognize him, he's dropped ALOT of weight. Looks like a regular guy now. He did have an awesome physique. We worked out a few times together.

JP looked damn good. Do you deny that ? ( Thanks for the pic of Dozer and Fux together ) Couldn't find one. It seems JP only had 3 or 4 good years. And we all know what happened at the " Chris Lund " shoot for Flex magazine, which ended his career in BB.

he looked better before he turned pro...
if he could have added mass without getting the gut...and he would have nailed his conditioning..maybe he could have been top 5..but never mr olympia. but there are no IFS OR BUTS

Not sure about that, if he could have added mass without getting the gut...and had nailed his conditioning.. he would've had no weak areas which = possible Olympia material

Indeed. Saw him 2 years ago in Palm Springs. He was stil huge and thinking about a comeback... a true mass monster, was already huge even before "going all the way"
Fuck Yates compared to JP.
Then Milos killed our buzz at the Sacramento saying he's not doing too well...
Anybody has better insight on JP ?

JP has been a trainer in Palm Springs for many years and doing very well. He is certainly not the mass monster he was in his competition days but he is in good condition. And as he walks around it street clothes compared to the average person you can still see that he carries a lot of size. No mistaking him for a skinny wannabe or keyboard lifter.
Last time we spoke he specifically told me that he has no plans or thought about trying to make any kind of "comeback". JP still follows the sport closely and you will find him at some of the competitions and he always makes it to the Olympia.

By the way, the BodyBuilding.com ad we shot in the bowling alley is running in the magazines now. I first one I have seen is in the new issue of Iron Man. We had a lot of fun shooting this one. And one of the guys is really a great bowler.
That makes two IFBB possible pro level bowlers that I know of.
