The video is of a web-based sitcom and Kevin Levrone guest stars as himself. He is a good sport in that he has the ability to make fun of himself, but his current physique in comparison to the other two guys is... interesting.

I worked out religiously throughout high school and college and slacked off for about three years when I began working full time. Even still, all throughout that time, I was still regularly asked if I worked out because I had maintained pretty decent size and conditioning. Even when I had a slight belly i had muscular legs, shoulders and arms. I have never used steroids. Kev trained for 15 years and he doesn't look any better than the other mid-30s shlubs in that video.
To some degree, I had bought into his excuse that he lost size intentionally to further his acting career, but his muscularity is completely gone. You would never know that man had ever picked up a weight just looking at that vid.

I left it all behind a year and a half ago, and I don't even miss it. Reading the stupid responses makes me wonder if I'll ever go back to it, because bodybuilders are just fucked up in the head, and I used to think the same way.
It's even funnier to see the retards on here bashing Kevin and they take steroids, eat their 6 meals/day, train 5 days a week, and they don't even look like bodybuilders.

Kevin Levrone was/is probably one of the best all-time pros. Top 5 material for his entire career and still a better pro (record based) than more than 95% of the current pros and look to what he deteriorated to. This shit is all drugs.
We've seen it again and again, be it: Levrone, Fedorov, Dillett, Prince, these so-called "beasts" all shrink back to their pathetic 170 pound frames.
I give it up to the real genetic freaks that walk around the streets, who have never used steroids and just rely on basic weights and sports to maintain a good looking physique.

What I find crazy is the guys who use that don't compete or just use due to brutal low self esteem. Why would you risk your health unless you have a shot at "making it" which only a few pros make a decent living at it. I think he was smart to stop unlike most who keep using even after retirement.

In the Youtube clip he has about as much muscle as he did in his right pec from the NOC photo they showed in that very clip. :o
He's obviously hamming it up for the camera, pushing out his gut and in speedo's displaying his crack. But he seems a lot happier than when he was eating enough rice for a small Chinese village in the BFTO 98.

That's evident. No, my point is that something that was a strong point - huge, wide delts - is now a weak point. You would think that he naturally, genetically, had a tendency towards them.. I mean you can still see chest and arm development..It's strange then that his signature part is completely non-existent.

Absolutely. However, seeing as he was regarded as having the best delts going..you'd still maybe think he had some kind of natural genetic predisposition to big, broad shoulders for his to blow up the best. It goes to show just how important response to AAS really is.

That may or may not be the case. He said they 'truly don't give a fuck what they look like' and Arnold most certainly does. He also cared for a long, long time about the size and condition of his physique..for a long time after retirement. At 43 Arnold would not want to - and didn't - resemble Levrone now.

Even still, it's wrong. Ignoring the fact that it's pretty obvious that Arnie juiced well into the 90s and as recently as the last Terminator movie and pretty much built his post bodybuilding career on his muscular appearance,
there are plenty of bodybuilders who leave the "bodybuilding lifestyle" behind once they've gotten what they can out of it. I would say that Guys like Flex and chick who juice after they finish competing are probably more of an anomaly. Guys like Gaspari, Labrada, Yates and Haney have moved on pretty smoothly.
Of course, there are a lot of ex-bodybuilders who continue to recreationally juice and others who continue to casually lift without aid of "supplementation", but I don't think that those things can reasonably be classified as negatives.

It's surprising that he could train for so long and look so average, but is it really sad? I am the originator of the thread and find it surprising that he looks like that, but unless he had some type of mental disorder, I would have to believe it's not something that concerns him too much. The fact that he looked like that for so long and could probably do so again in a pretty short period of time is probably very comforting. On top of that, he seems to have his health, which is more than a lot of his contemporaries can say, so he probably feels ahead of the game.

Ha ha funny you say that; I saw Kevin on the Olympia expo floor leaving the Weider booth (I think it was 2003, but he was competing on that day) and he had this guy following him with his chicken and rice. He was about 3/4 of the way out of there and said to his guy, "OK man I gotta sit. Time to refuel." So they sat down right there at the next empty table in front of them and the guy started getting all Kevin's food out of the bag he was carrying for him and presenting it to him.

I think that was great, and it also speaks alot for his character, Kev was and still is one of the most respected bbr's of ALL TIME and he has completely moved on. What i do give him mad props for is that u know this guy could blow up naturally to well beyond most mortal if he trained half decent, but like someone else said give him some d-bol for 3 weeks and tell him not to eat and shred the fat and BAM he has the genetics / frame to look show quality in a month. let alone a pro-stack. he has obviously stayed out of the gym for yrs. Its very easy to get sucked into this sport(mentally and physically) especially if u are truly gifted, Kev prob has the freakiest receptors of all time, U know he must have felt "HI" at many points in his life looking the way he did he was a real life comic book character "FULL BLOWN", yet he was never sucked into an egotistical meathead and he still dreamed beyond this self centred, consided & delusional sport, not hating on BB'ing it has brought me strengths in life, but we all know the dark aspects of this sport and the mental addictions and anxieties few truly never escape.I was allways a huge fan of Levrone (the bodybuilder) but now he is the total package and has life in prospective and seems to be having a great time.

Even still, it's wrong. Ignoring the fact that it's pretty obvious that Arnie juiced well into the 90s and as recently as the last Terminator movie and pretty much built his post bodybuilding career on his muscular appearance,
there are plenty of bodybuilders who leave the "bodybuilding lifestyle" behind once they've gotten what they can out of it. I would say that Guys like Flex and chick who juice after they finish competing are probably more of an anomaly. Guys like Gaspari, Labrada, Yates and Haney have moved on pretty smoothly.
Of course, there are a lot of ex-bodybuilders who continue to recreationally juice and others who continue to casually lift without aid of "supplementation", but I don't think that those things can reasonably be classified as negatives.
Yes, Arnold pumped up for his roles. Point is he also made training vids and did photo shoots when he looked downright ordinary, and to my mind, was completely at ease with himself. I feel that Levrone has the same "so what" attitude. It's just my opinion, I don't profess to know what these people think. In contrast you have idiots like Nasser who still live the life style long after they are competing.
