Interesting table - if you thought gas was expensive in the US, think twice...
One Gallon (3.8 litres) now costs 8.55 Dollars in Switzerland, 8.13 Dollars in England, 7.20 in Japan....
-
And the cost of living index:
-
i think a better gauge would be the price of housing per sq. ft
-
toronto (centre of the universe) is $$$ but sooo worth it.
-
Look at the price of bread in perth wher i live ::) hate to even factor in sweet Patatoes ???

Housing is included in the index.

The June figures are there as a reference. The figures are as of December or January. And your observation is to the point if you look at Paris' June figure and compare it to the bar

I don't care about the hotties that much... my wife is hot enough for me (gotta say that or i'll get neutered... loooool) ... Toronto is too "american" for me... no offence, but i just don't like the infrastructure of the states... montreal is france but with nice and polite people... LOL
but damn it's expensive... and toronto is even more expensive (was on the list til i saw that a week vacation in MTL would be 20% cheaper)
and although a lot of people think it's disgusting... i'm a huge fan of poutine... and there's no poutine like that place next to peel pub on rue peel... stavios might know what i'm talking about.

QFT. A tiny apartment in Manhattan about 600 sq ft. can go for over a million.

I was in Paris last week, and it's INSANITY!!! Dinner for 3 persons in a decent restaurant + a few cocktails afterwards in a cocktail bar costs you easily 350-400 Euros per evening.
A fucking Big Mac at McD is 6,10 , can you fucking believe that: 6,1 !!!!!
A friend of mine lives there in a fucking 50 mē shithole with a colleague and they pay 1200 per months, for a tiny, roach-ridden shithole.
-
Wait until you meet the 10 Dollar coffee at Starbucks in Zurich

About the same in sweden.. sometimes ever more depending on what you want.. more fires etc nopt "big mac" per se. But something equal..
I think its good though. Prevents everyone from turning into fat fucks.
I wish sushi would be cheaper :(

When you look at gas prices, you must consider how far people drive. In the U.S. things are far more spread out than in Europe. Most European cities were build with smaller town centers because there were no cars. As our gas prices are going near $4/gallon, it really hurts people and all businesses because of shipping and increased cost of goods.
-
I think these tables are alot of horseshit. Im from Liverpool in the north and just been to London for a couple of interviews today and there is hardly any difference in the price of commodities whatsoever - namely beer, tabs, and strippers!! ;)

I don't speak retard. Can you translate that into American dollars?

I think it's also more meaningful to show how much a city is dependent on imports to keep itself going. I don't mind paying a little more for gas/real estate if I know it's sustainable. America is gonna fall to shit with high energy costs, unlike europe we can't simply drop oil taxes. nor do we have infrastructure for people to walk.
-
In all seriousness though I agree - Paris is a joke!! A Big Mac in England costs you the same wherever you go unless its a service station or airport. I went to Paris with the ex wife in 2004 and it was 36 euro for 2 large gin and tonics - at 5pm!

The US debt has just reached 101% of it's GDP. This debt is mathematically impossible to pay back. The interest on the debt is barely managable.
It basically comes down to this... the whole US is coming down very soon. If you've seen the Greece riots, you are seeing the future of the US.
You guys better get ready. The essentials are: Water, food, guns, ammo, medical supplies and survival gear. Bartering items include gold, silver, booze and cigerettes.
Roving hoards of zombies will be chasing you. Make sure you have thousands of rounds of ammo and you are proficient at acquiring your targets.

Lol, it's all bullshit. All the major countries/allies need eachother to survive.
