chris carter called jerry rice a cheater

E

As a Niners fan I've never liked Rice. I respect his skills. As far as receivers I grew up in the TO and Moss era. Moss to me could have been better, loved watching him play despite his antics

Moss to me is the best receiver ever, a clear step above even Jerry Rice.

He didn't have Rice's longevity and he wasted a couple prime years doing fuck all in Oakland, so his stats won't compare with Jerry's.

Ridiculous. Moss ran shitty routes and took plays off. Rice could block. Rice had slightly better hands and was definitely a better route runner.

The only 'step above' that Moss had was athleticism and acceleration. Rice had very underrated game-speed. He was able to break away from defenders in the open field nearly as good as Moss.

The game came way easier to Moss than Rice. Rice really had to work at it and was a great route runner. As far as speed, Moss was a fast mother fucker. Ran like 4.2 and some say was actually faster than that. I don't think we got to see just how great Moss could have been because he was a head case. Even in that great 2007 Season he had with the Pats, you could tell he didn't give it his all the whole season...

He had 20+ TD's in 2007 with the patriots. Unreal!!

6'4 with extreme speed, better athleticism and talent by far than Rice imo

I bet Moss can still play right now, he's not that old. 37??

I love Randy Moss especially when he was on the Pats  8)
I think if Calvin Johnson is on his way to being the best WR all time.  CJ is like Randy Moss with muscle.  6'5,240 lbs, 4.35 40, 45 inch vertical (LOL) 11'7 broad jump. When it's all said and done, Megatron will be the best ever.

Not with fat lazy ass Stafford and Caldwell as coach.

Stafford has a helluva arm. Megatron just needs the ball thrown in his direction.  I couldn't imagine how he'd do with a Brady or an Aaron Rogers.

He likes to catch passes over 4 yards.  Brady wouldn't be much help.

Brady could throw the ball back then.  No SB for Moss...

Brady is not th QB these days for a deep threat like Megatron.

He's a dinker who can exploit the right man to man coverage at medium depth.

It has nothing to so with Brady.  He has no deep threats.  When he had one in Moss, it was magical.

Brady underthrew a few passes with Gronk open in the superbowl. Score could have elimated that whole 1 yard fuckup by Seattle if Brady threw further.

Hahaha Brady still has one of the best arms in the league. Could throw it 60 yards no problem

They opened up the vertical routes when Moss was on the team, otherwise they have never been a team who takes many deep shots down the field.

I watch every single game, so I would know.

Almost 38 years old. He probably could make a 53 man roster if he put his total focus into it. Why not come to Denver and join Peyton for one season?

Agree. I look at it this way (as moss did waste a lot of years but his stats are still awesome), at his best/when he played his best there was not any receiver better and not even close really. He played enough at his best for me to say he's the best receiver I've ever seen.
