Funny how this nation with 4% of the worlds population is by far the most powerful in the world.
Correction: the U.S is a
declining superpower. How so? Most of it's industry is being maintained by foreign scientists and engineers - especially from India and China -, it has the World's largest public debt, at eight trillion dollars, or 70% of it's GNP, it has by far the highest rate of crime and homicides in the industrialized world and it has the greatest % of the population living under the poverty line.
Let's elaborate further. For all of it's supposed greatness, the U.S has failed to produce a single physicist of the level of Newton or Einstein, a single musician on the level of Mozart, Chopin or Beethoven, a single painter in the level of Rodin or Da Vinci, a single poet on the level of Goethe or Shakespeare, a single universal genius on the level of Leibniz or Aristotle.
Basically, the U.S hasn't invented shit. It did invent a few things, like the electric bulb, but it's inventions pale in comparison to those of Europeans or the Han Chinese. The only contribution of Americans to the World is inventing the mass consumers economy. For instance, an European invented the automobile, but Americans mass produced it. While Ancient Rome will be remembered for it's contributions in engineering and jurisprudence and Ancient Greece for it's aesthetic sense, the U.S will be remembered as the Coca-Cola and McDonald's superpower.
