Don´t know why the below picture comes up about DY, he grew up quite tough but got out of it through his Bodybuilding and determination. I doubt very much if he was a Nazi Skin probably like most into a bit of Football, Sham 69.

Both Yates and Heath have exceptional genetics. However, "before starting training" or "before bodybuilding" doesn't mean they weren't familiar with the gym. I could list dozens of similar examples where things were made to sound more crazy than they were. For example Coleman supposedly turned pro less than a year after first touching a barbell. Not really the case.

Well,this is how he looked after 18 months of training when he won his novice contest and was then asked to enter the world games a week later when he placed 7th,so i would say the original pic was probably after 6 months of training.

In 1985 Frank Richards did a seminar at our gym and said if you haven`t won a national champs after 5 years training then you haven`t got the genetics to make it as a pro.Then he said he had judged a novice contest and a kid won it after 18 months training and got an invite to represent his country in the world games,he was that good.Then he said this kid would one day win the mr olympia....his name...Dorian Yates.
