That replay looked like a computer game with the the massive overhand right and head snapping back like being shot.
-
Also got rocked by a uppercut.
And dropped earlier by the same overhand right.
And Im pretty sure another overhand right landed also.
All in the first round.
-
That right hand is ridiculous he could knock a rhinos out with that thing. You think these guys would stay away from it! Feel bad for nog.
-
So Nog is still fighting... neck will need some time off.
-
he threw that right from the front row, how did he not to see that coming?

Adonis principles
That looked more like the Weider pre-exhaustion principles
-
Nog had zero head movement... and was standing still.
-
no nog saw it coming he stepped back back roy still reached and hit'em.
-
Nelsons da man in da cage.
-

I can tell you have extensive front of TV fighting experience.
-
Big Nog was on wobbly legs after Roy landed a huge uppercut very early on, you could tell he hardly knew where he was. From that point on he was just in survival mode, I wouldn't be surprised if he even remembers being in a fight.
-
Minotauro has nothing left to prove - he should have stopped a while back.
Even Cro Cop's left leg couldn't do what Nelson did (granted - it's an older Nog).
-

Thanks for the compliment.
during a fight people tend to not get hit by haymaking single overhand rights, its usually because they get out of the way.
Check out some fight vids for yourself.
-
I cant believe I used to prefer boxing over this, MMA is so awesome. Da cage is where its at.
-
Lol at these guys
they fight for nearly 20 mins and at the end they dont know why they had a fight.

Big Nog had was not holding up his left hand to protect himself from Nelson's right hand.

What stupid fucks. It was a brutal fight though.

Small nog now.
-
'Almost' doesn't cut it, oh well maybe next time?
Big bastard Caucasian salute after the knockout.
-
Wasn't the book on Nelson about his big right? I would have probably fought one-handed and never taken my left off my ear. :-\
Edit: in no way am I suggesting that I belong within a hundred miles of the cage.
-
Nelson came very well prepared I think. You could tell ,he was fast and he threw some solid punches right away and hurt Nog only a few sec, in. after he never recovered fully. Great fight.

Good every day walking around physique.
-
Don't mess with fat-boy's.
-
bad coaching... nog should have had his left hand up the whole time and should have attempted take downs non - stop. Stupid amateurish shit, and you see this all the time in MMA cage fighting next to no emphasis on the sweet science of fighting.

Is Jiu-Jitsu a dying art? Add wrestling to that as well. Why does it seem that all of these guys like Nelson, Hendo, Rampage, Shogun, Wandy etc.... seem to completely abandon the ground game these days?
Do you guys remember Hendo and Rampage in Pride? Ground game masters. Know, they have devolved into one punch, one trick ponies.
Editor's note: I love strikers and knockouts, but it still baffles me why these guys waste years of training. ???
Are they doing it just for the fans?

The benefit of wrestling is controlling where the fight goes. A good wrestler will take the fight where he wants. If hendo was a bad wrestler, they would just take him down.
Why they choose to stand is another question

Standing up is much more fun in my experience. ... plus everyone wants to win by knocking the fuck out of the other guy. .... it's much more satisfying that winning via submission.
At least this has been my experience.
Plus fans love stand up fighters... and everyone knows Dana chooses his favorites based on market appeal.

The game has evolved. Take down defense has improved to the point jui- jitsu guys will get hit to many times attempting the take down so they are cautious. Also for jui jitsu guys it's getting harder to keep a skilled fighter down for that submission. Jui jitsu guys had a field day with guys with no take down defense and no ability to get out of getting pinned on the ground. Now it's a new game. The pure brazilian jui jitsu guys are finding their limited striking skills are a liability when they can't get a guy down. In pure jui jitsu nobody really tries to stand up as they are both going for that submission.
