Any joint issues? What was your worst injury over your lifting career?

none now at all,,i squat 405 8-10 reps,hack 5 plates a side when i'm in zone,,leg workouts are crazy..lunges/heavy extensions/drops/

couple yrs ago i did have a very bad injury i worked my self out of no dr's,,i pinched a nerve in my upper back so severe it locked my l/s up so bad i could not even get a 25 lb dbell off my chest left side,,every week i would get stronger and go up 25/35/50 ect...took few months to get back to 80/85's again, same with shoulder press db,,bars and machines came back quicker but db's were long time,i did ice/heat/advils/..stretching,,but during the weakest point i just supersetted everything stayed on diet and got real lean ,,,now i'm good,,occassional shoulder bug /pain ,but rom is fine..

I pinched a nerve it felt in my trap back around April. I kept getting sensation in my arm on that side like when you hit your "funny bone". Anyway the next morning I wake up and my entire arm is numb. Took a week for the feeling to slowly come back, and the front of my bicep is still numb to this day.

So you are saying you tweaked something while stretching, but didn't realize the severity until you tried to bench?

I don't do inclines my shoulders don't take to it well, although standard overhead isn't a problem. I only use dumbbells for chest, thankfully (or not) I'm not up to a high enough weight that it is untenable to get in/out of position on my own (<100lbs).

I do lots of heavy flyes, what are your thought on dumbbell flyes? I'm trying to stay in this for the long run like you, could care less about lifting monster poundage.

In my opinion, walking at a fast pace is just as beneficial as jogging when doing cardio. Walking is not hard on your body like jogging can be. I usually walk at about a 3.8 mile per hour. Occasionally, I've been able to get up to 4.0 speed without breaking into a jog. It's easy to be accurate about the pace when on a treadmill.

walking or power walking is very underrated. I do a hill programme or Interval at my physio on the crosser, next day a walk about 1 hour 20 mins. I also mix it up with running and cycle around a lot. I cycled to my physio yesterday did the crosstrainer hill programme and cycled back and my legs were well pumped up. I think you need to mix the intensity up each session.
