I do the same thing.  I eat a normal lunch, then a big meal at dinner time.  I do my workouts after work so I can go home and eat my big meal.  All the science around timed eating is total BS.  It doesn't matter when you eat as long as you get your calories in.  Everyone should do what works for them.  I like eating this way because I never liked eating throughout the whole day and feeling bloated all the time.
Yep, they finally did a study on the Lean Gains style of IF and unsurprisingly no difference when calories are equal when compared to a normal diet. Just comes down to preference.

well let us say there's a long period between your last meal and when you go to bed, then follows 8 hours of sleep, then a few more hours before you eat lunch, that's a long time to go without food if youre trying to add muscle.

Wilder-beasts  couldn't go a day without food before they become considerably weakened.

Take evolution into consideration you silly old man.

and with a smaller window to eat you have to eat more

if you only eat twice a day and eat 4000 calories thats 2000 caloriers per meal

Prefer to not eat for half a day or so then eat normal sized meals the rest of the day than eat disgusting low calorie shit in tiny portions all day.

Don’t know or care if it offers any advantages over traditional ‘dieting’, not eating is very easy if you keep busy a lot of people eat through boredom

Not the same, but similar.  It's only a WYHI  post if you want it to be.

Just like anything else, it's pointless to discuss "in general". Could someone under some conditions "achieve their dreams" whith IF? I wouldn't be at all surprised -- but if you don't know anything else about them, how does it help you?

For a long time I told myself I could make something work for me because it worked for someone, somewhere. And at the same time, I used the exact same reasoning to dismiss just as many things I didn't like. ::)

In the end, you aren't free to pick and choose strategies without considering your own condition.

Actually unintentionally, due to my work, I had to get by with only eating two large meals and one shake(before working out), it works great..............first meal is close to 1.3K Kcal(75P/130C/50F) and second meal is close to 1K Kcal (75P/75P/45F), the shake is close to 0.5K Kcal (50P/0C/30F)............give it a try

I fasted to help me with slight  fatty liver diagnosis, It also helped me through a weight plateau,  im coming down then hill not climbing it as I age, and I want to continue to train the same and eat the same but its forcing me to hold a bodyweight I don't want to, with a good moderately clean diet I held around 250 at 6 foot , with fasting I managed to get to 238 and have my fatty liver improve considerably.

I trained at 4am didn't eat anything post workout which killed mentally, first meal was 9 am last meal 5pm, so fasting period each day was 16 hours.

Held that weight for a few years, then used some TRT recently ( 100mg week ) and put weight back on and I am now reattempting the process after cutting the TRT, I want to get to 230, TRT Is great but I just don't appreciate the weight gain and negative impact on resting heart rate.  I can go from 59-62 to 72 with that weight gain and TRT use, which  might be a valuable observation for someone.

THat's because they are cold blooded and don't require constant energy from food to keep their blood warm like mammals.

Anyone here done intermittent fasting?

Apparently glucose causes the common fat gut in males (and bodybuilders), and intermittent fasting reduces glucose.

Broscience and common sense indicates that it should increase glucose sensitivity. My main reason for not eating before the afternoon, is that I tend to not sleep well if I am hungry.

I can easily live on just 1 meal per day, dinner around 6-7pm .

U should buy :The Warrior Diet by Ori Hofmekler & The Fast Diet by Dr.Michael Mosley , Mosley book is all about Intermittent Fasting,he also produced TV show on this subject.

Sure fast away!  All the best bodybuilders always speak highly of fasting... Arnold, Dorian, Coleman, Sergio, Cutler, Flex, Gaspari, Big Ramy. Fasting made them Champions. Everyone knows this.
