I think that was the first year they did a video podcast and even though it was sketchy he looked twice as big as any of the top 6.
Lets face it the other 5 were generally shorter or smaller guys, Priest, Ray, Levrone downsized, Flex downsized and Nasser was losing it by then.

THAT was the only year I think Shawn Ray had used Insulin and higher dose GH for his off season and pre contest
he certainly came in a lot bigger than any previous showing but didn't have the razor sharp condition of previous Olympia showings

I always recall people thinking Coleman was great at the time. Nothing like Heath at all.
Coleman may have come off like a yoyo with how he spoke, but Heath can come off like a douche.
Same for Cutler in his prime. Always a big fan base with not many who thought he was a douche.
Heath is in another league.

there were some who did get sick of Ronnie dropping to his knees after he was announced winner but this was no fake emotion- it was always 100 % real with ROnnie.
With Cheath- its all fake humility, fake crocodile tears about his sick wife etc

RC is the biggest and most developed Olympia of all time. I'm sorry it butt hurts you but the reality is the reality. DY may be second, but Phil Cheat could not hold a candle to either. In 2000, Ronnie looked amazing especially in the vid Walter White showed. Biggest, ripped bodybuilder ever.

No he wasn't, either you're phil or his representative. Ronnie was liked by most, sure he was hated by some but not because he had a bad physique but others were just fan of jay/Levrone/Schliercamp/etc,etc.. but they still respected Ronnie a massive amount.
However Phil is neither respected or liked..

I’m a believer in giving the fans what they want. The bodybuilding aficionados deserve to get what they pay for when they throw down $200 for prime seats at a top-tier show. Right now, I’m going on the record to say the fans are not getting their money’s worth.
Coming off the 2001 Mr. Olympia, where I placed third despite being in in excellent condition once again. I am more convinced than ever that Ronnie Coleman should no longer bear the title of Mr. Olympia. This is the second consecutive Mr. O gift for Ronnie, and I’m not prepared to hang back in the weeds and let an injustice go without fair comment.
The plain truth is that I beat Ronnie last year (2000) and Jay Cutler beat Ronnie this year. You should not win the Mr. Olympia if your stomach is hanging out – period. Last year, I patted Ronnie’s stomach during the pose down to draw attention to the fact that he was obviously bloated. That tactic obviously didn’t work, and Ronnie beat me in the pose down to successfully defend his title for a third straight Mr.O triumph.
During the 2001 press conference, I hammered on the point that no standing Mr. O champion has ever been beaten [in fact, Sergio Olivia, in 1970 and Samir Bannout, in 1984, lost their titles onstage] and that something is wrong with an it’s-over-before-it-even-gets-started attitude surrounding the contest. I don’t train for second place, and I want the opportunity to get a fair shot at toppling Ronnie – or any Mr. Olympia – from his throne.
So now the show rolls around and Jay Cutler beats Ronnie in both prejudging rounds: symmetry and muscularity. Ronnie
was spilling over with too much water during the muscularity round, and Cutler took it to him in many of the poses that Coleman usually dominates.
How can Cutler lose this contest if he wins both symmetry and muscularity? How can Ronnie retain his title if his midsection is bloated and distended? Why should the fans get behind a champion who can’t present an aesthetic image of what bodybuilding is supposed to be all about?
I’m talking about classical proportions, perfect symmetry and ideal conditioning. Based on that ideal, I should have won the Sandow in 2000, and Cutler should have taken it in 2001. The fans deserve better than what they are getting. I’m already working hard to ensure that, in 2002, a true people’s champ can strip the title away for Ronnie Coleman.

Was never a big fan of Ronnie, but no doubt he was a beast. A fucking beast! And weather you were a fan or not, you knew he blew the doors off in the gym. Health would wet his pants trying to get through ONE of Ronnie's workouts.

Kevin's RLS was great, but this is why he lost. His back literally disappears in the BDB. Kevin in 2000 has the flattest back I've seen on a 2nd place finisher at any Mr. Olympia contest.

In some poses he did (especially relaxed) and in other poses he looked amazing. 1993 was his best year hands down imo. The title should have gone to Shawn in 1994 and Kevin in 1995 and possibly Nasser in 1996.

Aspect ratio - most likely resulting from the upload. The old stuff was all 4:3 and now that shitty 16:9 and Co. has overtaken the planet you're in for the stretch and some confusion.
Just use a video player which lets you control image size/scaling like mpc-hc which is currently being developed by MCHammer.

His quads looked horrible when he got bigger, as far as I'm concerned. Giant blobs, yes of muscle, but giant blobs

Looks like Kev overdieted a bit in 2000. That's the leanest I've ever seen his lower body after '92, but his back is flat.
