My favorite jeans are seven. They are really soft and comfortable. Nice t-shirt or pull over collar shirt. Nice pair of tennis shoes. Shoes are always clean. If they get dirty I throw them in the washer. I have a lot of tennis shoes. Gym wear Nike shorts when nice out when cold Nike sweatpants and a nice tank top. My wife calls me a clothes whore. When you look good you feel good.

option 1 - adidas track suits (red, white, black or blue) with sleeveless tee or tank. wear some shoes that 'go' with it... no red pants and red shoes.. red shoes, blue track pants OK.... white ghock (although I wear my 50mm Uboat's mostly, or panerai)
option 2 - navy pin suit (or at least just the slacks) with white dress shirt and a decent tie... none of that skinny tie bullshit, with oxblood cap-toe rockports, matching belt, and brown strap IWC or Tag (or black, just make sure they match). Black peacoat/topcoat.
option 3 - Jeans... whatever fits you.. none of that baggy hip-hop shit.. you life weights, so you should have quads and an ass.. women should be able to tell that... black short sleeve fitted button-up. black Rockport loafers/slip-ons, black belt... black peacoat/topcoat if needed... you're an adult, leave the leather jackets alone. black strap Panerai.
option 4 - light colored, light print plaid golf shorts... colored izod polo.. nothing crazy.. navy or something.... and sperry topsiders.... straight men don't wear sandals if we're not taking out the trash or taking the dog out to shit. stainless steel rolex gmt master II with a pepsi-dial or blue-face submariner.
dress like you give a shit what people think when they see you... and keep your car clean... and shave... and get a haircut, or at least clean up the back of that neck.... and trim your eyebrows.

Why is this?
I have incredible taste in clothes, which is rarely supported by my financial situation. Furthermore, when I shop at high end stores, they don't carry clothes in my size. Usually, all the good stuff is in twink sizes.
I have resorted to Lands End , LL Bean and other mainstream clothiers for decent clothes as of late...back to the basics.

What I meant is that there is a lot more to making a pair of pants fit right then taking in the waist. Talk to your father in law, he'll confirm this.
What works to a degree is having clothes made to fit from scratch measurements. Altered ready-to-wear is never going to fit a big guy well.

You are right, taking in and lowering the waist is easier than redoing the shape of the crotch. Smaller dudes pants have a shorter crotch. I have made pants from scratch for friends in the past. This is far easier and the results far better than taking pants in. Years ago, one could get a suit custom tailored from Sears at a reasonable price. Like I said, that was years ago. I doubt you can do that today.

I used to have him make my slacks and shirts from scratch... paid $50each if you buy a min of 5 pair and as long as he didn't have to custom order the fabric... that was/is his normal price, no discount for the guy who's bangin his daughter.

I am glad that I pretty much fit clothes off the rack. Sometimes the pants are a little loose in the waist, but that's okay. It just reminds me that I am more fit than the average dude.

Not that it means a hill of beans, but I wear an x-large shirt...occasionally a large. My 34" pants fit fine too. It would be nice to have a pair of leather pants, but I don't for some reason. Skinny jeans aren't comfortable unless one never sits down. My preference is for loose fitting clothes. When you get be my age, comfort supersedes looking sexy for a bunch of strangers. My jeans of choice are Lucky Brand Classics.
So laugh all you like. You are still holding stolen property and you know it.

You don't have to spend a lot of cash to look good. Don't know why anyone would spend all that time in the gym, eating, and gearing to cover it up with clothes that make you look like a 12 year old boy. Clothes, muscle, skin, and hair style all matter if you wanna look your best.

We'll you have to find your own style. I like loafers and chinos for casual wear. I also like various boots and premium denim.
I just think it looks kinda tacky for a grown man to dress like a child in sneakers. But America is probably the worst dressed 1st world nation. A nation of slobs but it wasn't always that way. Back in the days even poor people wore bespoke suits. People took pride in the way they looked.

I like chucks and vans for casual kick back wear. They're simple and plain in design which is a plus, stylistically. I know technically they are tennis shoes but they've kinda transcended that over the years.

People of a certain age (well my age) should not care so much about the details of their outfit, but rather is it comfortable or not. I wear sandals because they are comfortable. If sneakers fit my fat feet comfortably, I'd wear them. Fashion statements are for young men on the prowl.

I have only about 3 tshirts for dress and a few for work.
When done with one i crumple it up and throw on bedroom floor, in a day or so it somehow appears cleaned and ironed hanging up in the wardrobe.

i have about 18 pairs of track pants.. about 12 of them are adidas, and about 6-7 have matching jackets (2-3 of some colors), about 20 "gym shirts" Under Armour, or adidas, or the like.... but that's work/gym attire. i do my own laundry, she puts it away... if it were left up to me, i'd have clothes left folded on the floor, on the sofa, on the loveseat, on nitestands, on top of dressers..... everywhere except where they're supposed to be.

I have enough clothes that if I get busy and can't get laundry done, I have enough for 2 weeks... those are gym/work clothes. i'll be goddamned if i'm gonna wear the same pants or shirt twice.... my other clothes, dress clothes and such get dry cleaned.. of which I also have a lil over two weeks worth of slacks, dress shirts and ties..a few suits for when i'm big, and a few for when i'm smaller. black, navy, & navy pin... although I also have a grey/slate suit and a cream suit (don't ask. lol)... Rockports, Ferragamos and Cole Haan's in oxblood, black and brown ... loafers & cap-toes... no wingtips.... a black sport coat and a navy sportcoat.

anything with a stainless-steel case and leather strap. Simple dial with a date window... no need for sub-dials... i'm not a big stainless steel (metal, what I assume u mean by 'silver') bracelets (the part of the watch that goes around your wrist). NOOOOO digital.
if you're not a watch guy, keep it simple. you can probably find something for under $60, granted, it'll be quartz, and run on a battery (not automatic), but at least it's a watch.
I always say go with black shoes.. and a black strap watch... if you wear a brown strap watch, your shoes should be brown as well (your belt too!).
I believe u can find Tissot (might even find an automatic), ESQ (made by Movado, although i'm not a fan of Movado and will never wear one...ESQ don't resemble the typical 'Movado-theme'), or even bulova for under $200 new... even a simple Fossil is better than nothing.
if you're a bigger guy, you can probably get away with a 44-46mm case... Rolex date-just are like 37mm, rolex submariner/yhactmaster/gmt master are all 39mm... panerai's are usually 44mm, big omega seamaster's are 45mm, ect... personally, aside from my submariner and GMT, i'd never wear anything smaller than 42mm (and that's if it's an IWC or Zenith).
i'm curious now... i'll check around and see what I see at a low price point that's simple and says "I care how I look... I wear a watch even though nobody needs one anymore (cell phones)".

I used to dress nice..and I clean up well..but my day to day is casual now. I'm not on the market..I don't have to impress anyone for work....so I dress for comfort. And yes, I agree the casual look is how I go. I started training after a 5year off period. So now that the muscle memory is kicking back slowly I get more and more gym wear most all of the time. If I go out which is very rare lately I dress jeans/pants and shirts like you have in that pic. Remember, I am a LI gear head myself ;) but I will give credit where credit is due...I am not yet in the John Cena look alike mode like you lol. But I have to admit it is fun how muscle memory works...I just wish diet memory worked the same but its comming together.
The watches I really like ES's take. I need a watch to wear that is not fancy because imo my watches look retarded in gymwear/casual. I use burners so most of the time my cell phones don't even have a clock on the face and I am not gonna open them to look so I needed some options :)
