hes a fucking awesome fighter, no doubt...very very smart in the ring. what he lacks is intensity, and the desire to beat the shit out of his opponent....it seems to me that he has no problem with being on the losing end of a fight for the first couple of rounds...it doesnt bother him to lose face and get hit a few times and be percieved as scared because he is always backing stepping... because he knows that hell knock the mother fuckers out late in the fight once he has them figured out and tired out.

I don't want to get into the whole 'who is gayest' flame war..I shouldn't have said anything about you possibly having a crush on Floyd - it was juvenile and you might simply just love him as a fighter and man.
But, seriously now, you have to respect the fact that people don't like Mayweather..I said he was a great fighter - which he damn well is - I just don't like the guy at all. While the fight was on....live...Lederman's card was close. Mayweather had a good jab...but....Hatton was the aggressor...Mayweather was not really dominating the fight before the knock-out....
I don't consider getting knocked out in the 10th a crushing...in the 1st-3rd, yes...but...not at the end of the match.
Regardless, good fight... I was hoping Mayweather would win anyway....

That fight was a pretty classic case of "could go either way" and was far from "crushing". One of those guys was going to make a mistake and the other was going to capitalise. I give credit to Hatton because he was the one taking all the risks out there. Mayweather's tactical situation was far better, his reach was a huge advantage and he used it to do exactly what he needed to do.

Im british and just enjoyed the fact it was a good fight.Mayweather was the better fighter and i always thought after round 3 that Floyd could just take Ricky whenever he stepped up his attacking.Very enjoyable fight even though i was rooting for Ricky, but much respect to Floyd, fantastic display of boxing

Biggest explaination for this fight-Hatton could not come up in weight. I say Hatton fight some hispanic who wasnt very good but was at a higher weight-and Hatton looked like shit, he could not effectively come up in weight, it destroys his game-hes too small to bully anyone, short arms etc,,,,,,
well he tried to come up in weight against Mayweather and was clearly overmatched, Why would his promoters/trainers let him do this ? for a payday $$$$$$$
If Hatton moves down and stays down in weight, he can dominate-if he tries to move up in weight, hes not even a top 10 fighter-there you have it.

That would be an ideal way for Hatton to end his career but I have a sneaky suspicion his pride will get the better of him and he'll get mixed up in another stupid fight. I think the Mayweather fight was a stupid fight for him to take on after his poor display at welterweight against Collazo.
However fair play to Hatton. He has balls and he let's be honest he was was very entertaining during the pre-fight tour and again after the fight itself.
Did you hear him in the interview right after the fight when he said , "What a fluke that was!!"
Hatton may not have Mayweather's boxing skills but he could teach him a thing or two about connecting with the fans.
Mayweather is so fucking wrapped up in himself he probably thought people actually believed the insencere bullshit he spouted after the fight. Even though Hatton had just been knocked out he was still in more touch with reality than May-dancing-queen-Weather.
