Anyone know Doyle's height, weight, or heaviest lifts?

Hmmm.... there seems to be a bit of Doyle Kenady appreciation going on here.... ;D
I guess I have to post as much as what I've found of the great deadlifter here.

Kenady was born in 1948.He had a heart attack at the age of 39,which ended his lifting career. He suffered another heart attack from which he died at the age of 50 in 1999.
According to Fred Hatfield, Doyle went by the nicknames of "Mountain Man" , "Saskwatch" or "Grizzly Bear"
His weight was 140 kg (305 pounds) and height 1m 78 cm (5ft 10').
Doyle could squat over 900 pounds and bench over 500 pounds.
His most incredible strength feat was when he pulled 410 kg (903.9 pds) ,which was  2.96*bodyweight,on his third attempt in the deadlift at the April 6th 1986 powerlifting meet in Honolulu,Hawaii.

Here are a couple of videos showing him performing in the WSM from 1983,with Sigmarsson and Capes.

As you may have noticed his beard was not as long as in 1986.
Given that he achieved his greatest strength accomplishments late in his career, it must have given him Samson-like strength!  :D

Some very impressive numbers!  Yes, his hair was the source of his strength!  :D

Thanks for that bit of history.

It is actually legendary powerlifter and two time Ms. Olympia runner-up Bev Francis!  Yep.  Before she was a bodybuilder, Bev was a powerlifter! :D

Why isn't this thread a sticky!?

Not that it needs to be, is always at the top of the board.
It hasn't helped...
